Which Way Do I Go?

Recently at school, we had the threat of a shooting. On the most popular social media outlets, the potential shooter gave a time that this unspeakable act would occur. Ten o'clock in the morning. As things unfolded, amid panic, fear, and ambiguous information, students were alerted to stay in class and remain engaged in their lessons despite any uncertainties. The expectation? Remain calm.

Soon, you'll be going off to college, the military or blending into entrepreneurship or the workforce. Even if you have a plan, your pathway is not crystal clear. Which way will you go? How do you choose? Where are my resources? The expectation? Figure life out.

Instructions: Briefly explain how uncertainty can impact your actions when you are a victim of circumstances beyond your control.

Let the Rain Come Down!

    Mixed Ink

    Mixed Ink is our class blog, the window into our souls. It was designed to improve students' writing, critical thinking and communication skills by giving them a platform to provide meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they see.

    Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought. This is a place where students of all levels can freely, confidently and creatively express themselves and their opinions in a nonjudgmental platform. They are required to respond to and critique each other, but degradation, slander, lewdness, etc., will not be tolerated.
