Which Way Do I Go?

Recently at school, we had the threat of a shooting. On the most popular social media outlets, the potential shooter gave a time that this unspeakable act would occur. Ten o'clock in the morning. As things unfolded, amid panic, fear, and ambiguous information, students were alerted to stay in class and remain engaged in their lessons despite any uncertainties. The expectation? Remain calm.

Soon, you'll be going off to college, the military or blending into entrepreneurship or the workforce. Even if you have a plan, your pathway is not crystal clear. Which way will you go? How do you choose? Where are my resources? The expectation? Figure life out.

Instructions: Briefly explain how uncertainty can impact your actions when you are a victim of circumstances beyond your control.

INCLUDE: First initial AND last name AND class period.

Respond in no more than 10 sentences and no less than five. You must also reply to a classmate's post. You cannot post identical comments on different classmates' posts. Im not 100 percent sure yet on what path i am taking after high school . I have an idea of what i want to do after high school get in a trade school for culinary. Most of my help and resources actually come from a cook at my job who did 2 years at a culinary school . Ive been asking him questions on how to get in, was it a good experience . My expectations of becoming a chef is to just make money.

Being uncertain on things is not a good feeling. It makes you feel lost and worried on situations. Uncertain can impact people lives in a well manner way because you won't never know what will happen next. When something happens and you are not in control, it's a devastating feeling and I witness this personally last week. You have to always prepare for the worst outcome in life to succeed. Anybody can plan what they want in life but it's easier said than done. Uncertain stuff will happen but you have to go with it

If opon an unknown situation one might act out of fear. Thinking life or death and most of the time you want to avoid dying. For example, the shocking 11 o'clock shooting twitter post from a Lancaster high school student. Many not knowing all the information we panicked. When 11 o'clock hit some of the students disappeared underneath desk in the classroom. With hopes of not getting shot we where unaware that the shooting wasn't for real. Looking slighty embrassesed as we slide back in our desk we continued to learn. In life we as people if ever in a uncertain situation should take a breather and not panic. Taking your time to thinking of a plan can propell you to surviving or overcoming a circumstance beyond your control.

Uncontrollable situations stress me out. For example Friday October 16th threat on the school made everyone panic on concern of their safety. I was scared at first but then I heard more about the situation.I was calm and didn't panic .I could be scared but you'll never know it I handle being in a tough situation well.U

I agree with Sasha uncontrollable situation can be stressful and can cause you to panic. Not knowing what's going on or what to do next can scare someone. I'm not good in those type of situations. I find then very stressful.

Life is a roller coaster . I know I will always follow the path that I can fit in and be passionate about. I'm grateful to have the oppurtunity to earn my cosmetology license in High School . Which can be known as my resource . Even better my back up plan .My expectations are to stay motivated . For example last weeks video has really helped me feel better because I could relate . I have so many choices to pick from , I'm undecided of my future .

Personally, I'm very familiar with the topic of uncertainty. Being uncertain in situations that aren't in your control can belittle your judgement on any prior action. Not knowing which way to go is and always will be petrifying, only because you know that if you make the wrong decision it could hurt you in the future. However, when its beyond your control it is ten times worse, for example on Friday, all students were told to stay calm, but what if the person was sitting right next to you? The fact that many of us didn't know if the person sending threats was lying or not and how uncertain the administrators/police officers were is what scared us the most.

When you're sure about something or a certain situation, you do it with no hesitation. But when someone tells you something different than what you believe, you start to hesitate and that can cause chaos in your mind. If you feel like you know your path then don't let no one else mess that up. Your mind is delicate. Don't abuse it by overthinking.

I agree with Isaiah because when you are uncertain of something and you try to make decision . Sometimes the decision you made might not be what's best for you . It's basically like taking a risk of going with your heart and following your gut , but not knowing what may happen in the long run . So be wise in situations of uncertainty because it could be for the better or it could be for the worst .

Your plans really never go as plan but you have to work for it . It's hard to make a choice when you don't know what's a head of the choices you make . Some people might think college is for them but it's not . You suppose to have a plan B and C If the other plans don't work . You basically taking a faithful risk on what you want to do and life . Your first plan go change most of the time but make sure the other is strong

With unexpected events taking place in today's world, you always have to prepare for the worst. If not it will seem that danger is inevitable which you cause you to be chaotic mentally. When we are sure about things we always know what we're going to do before it actually happens. Instead in situations we can't control we tend to panic. We can't always just "go through the motions" but sometimes think about stuff that can happen so it won't be all the way out of our control.

There are many things that can happen to stop you from going were you want to, the problem is what are you going to do about it. Truthfully and honestly us as students have to deal with circumstances beyond our control all the time but that's no excuse to not keep focusing on the goal ahead.Being uncertain about what you want to accomplish could lead to failure in most scenarios because if you don't have a plan you plan to fail.However just knowing that you have a positive future ahead and your on the right path could possibly get a positive outcome every time.Not many teenagers make it to our age or even this grade level,so every opportunity is vital.Me personally I plan on just becoming a better person and working on myself because at the end of the day your the only one you can control.

Being uncertain about what you want to accomplish in life can lead to failure, but that's something you have control over. Uncertainty will make you second guess your decision before making it. It will make you rethink because when your certain of something you can predict the outcome but with uncertainty you don't know if the outcome is good or bad. When people are uncertain as too which way would lead to a better path they become very frustrated in choosing a decision. Being uncertain about life's problems is something that most humans face but do they choose the right path. For example let's say that one day you come across a new friend. And let's say that your new friend is very intrigued by the way you present yourself causing you too become uncertain whether the relationship you in now is the right fit. Well honestly if it's already going bad and y'all been having complications and some one else comes along I would leave my partner. And yes this is the part where you become unsure whether too leave or not. If your gut says yes go with it because maybe there is better out there in life than just sticking with that same person who makes you feel uncertain whether you two should be together. It may be hard but being uncertain Is worse because you might eventually hurt some one's feelings.

When you are in circumstances beyond your control you always have to be ready for any thing. There is no time for uncertainty, you will have to react fast and prepared for anything. You never know when the perfect opportunity will come and the right time for you to react so you can't be uncertain. The unpredictability of someone else's actions that could potentially affect you might cause you to feel anxious, worried, nervous, or even afraid. Depending on what kind of person you are, you could react negatively or positively. The best way to take a situation that is out of your control is to just stay positive about it. If you worry about the circumstance and stay in a dubious state of mind, then you could cause yourself to react in a certain way that could potentially harm yourself or others. Don't just jump in the water-- consider how you will swim first or you're going to drown.

It's usually caused fear, panic and unintelligent acts most people can't focus on what the proper thing to do. With so much pressure and limited time. This is why many people say to be ready for the worst. The best thing to do is be ready so you don't have to get ready.

When your mind is completely certain about something everything can seem simple and well planned. But when you get put under pressure you start to panic, become afraid and many other mixtures of emotions occur. when people are put in certain situations that they don't have power over they tend to become indecisive about whether to stay calm or to let there mind become choatic. As people we tend to think of the worst when things happen not according to plans. Ultimately the best way to not let the pressure get you is to stay positive regardless of the situation at hand.

Change is always a good thing. Stepping out on faith is what gets you further in life, although the future is not something we can predict we can do our best to plan for it. If we spend more time on researching our options and having a Plan B, we would spend less time worrying about the unrpedictable. I definately plan to be a entrepreneur and plan to raise the capital by working hard, and if all else fails I plan to further my education through college so that I will have something to rely on for my future.

The qoute "Everyone has a plan til they get punched in the mouth", plays a major role in this assignment. People don't expect the unexpected until it actually happens. Focusing on whats up to par will get you where you need to be. Once the unexpected comes, people's mind tend to get unfocused. Contreversy can interact with someones self control. Having the uncertainty of will I have a house, a car or a job. Not knowing where my next meal will come from. These circumstances could mentally effect a person and impact their life .

Many people seem to have a plan for their future and even get into deep details as well but they don't prepare for the random challenges that come with it. Uncertainty can be very dangerous with people who have very detailed plans. It can make them feel their plan wont work and could even get so bad it can make someone give up and change their plan completely. Uncertainty tends to make people over think about certain situations even if they aren't serious and that could waste time. People shouldn't let challenges make them think twice about their goals and their plans to reach those goals.

When im uncertain about a situation, my instinct automatically kicks in. Though this only comes when im not prepared for the certain circumstance. Especially if something is seriously out of my control, then I would have no choice but to go with the first option in mind. Then again, certain stuff is pretty much common sense when stuff hit the fan. So uncertainty can affect your actions in major and minor ways

Being certain and 100% sure about something is a very clear and easy path to take rather than being uncertain about something. Uncertainty causes us to make quick, sometimes dumb decisions that later we might regret. One should always think twice when making a decision, and be certain of what we choose because it can probably lead to a poor outcome. If you have only a certain amount of time to decide something use that time wisely to make the right decision cause we're the ones with total control. We should always have a positive mindset even in a negative situation, because in the end the decisions we make are up to us whether we're certain or not, but we can think before deciding. Even though we might not get the outcome we want we can still make a smart decision.

Being in a situation that you can't control is the worst. Uncertainty makes this situation even more horrible. Your heart races as fast as thirty wild stallions in a field. You began to worry about things like how to get out of the situation and what will people think if you mess up. Things could even escalate into bigger problems if you take the wrong steps or procedures. Fear strikes you in the heart and tears run out of your eyes uncontrollably. In situations that you cannot control it is best to buckle down, do what you learned and think.

As we grow in life, we give ourselves a set boundary on what we want to be or do in life, but like always something manages to come in way of our success and it's up to you to get across it. I say if you really want something in life , you're gonna have to fight for it and go get it. Never let anybody tell say You Can't Do Something , you should try and do better at least for yourself. Some people when they see an obstacle give up or slowly go around and the wrong way of doing things. I Am Really Not Sure What My Path Is After High School I am still thinking about going to a far college but if not I know I am going in the fall but when I get out of high school I'm going to go to a hair school.just for a little bit in then I'm going to go to Houston Texas to go to school out there. I really don't want to go out of state do not want to be so far from home. I really want to just get done with my senior year first to get my mind together in really figure out what college I really want to go to but right now I really don't know I'm just following my path .

If you have uncertainty about something your never gonna get through the situation. You can't always go off what people say or do sometimes you have to make it happen for yourself. Being uncertain causes frustration, stress, and uncaused for problems. All that stuff can be prevented by just going with your first thought and being confident. Life throws curve balls everyday of your life. You don't know if you are going to wake up or not, or if you are going to loose your mother. Living life and going with the flow is apart of life. You cannot fear the future due to your uncertainty. Uncertainty makes us curious which makes us think. Thinking leads to big ideas and a smoother life. Circumstances can make or break a person mentally. Coming from a one parent household can lead to a life of uncertainty because you were seeked what you never found which was another role model in a young persons life. Uncertainties are evident in life but it's taking the risk that will ultimately lead to great success. Everybody has circumstances they can not control and wonder "why me God". At the end of the day you were chosen because he knew you could overcome this obstacle. Everything happens for a reason and you have no clue what route you will take in life so therefore you have to wait and see.

Their is a lot of things that are uncertain to many even myself included. I might end up not going to college after all my hard work & applying to college. Or I might land a really good job & start a family, who know's? Their's thing's that nobody knows for instance like the future. You may plan things perfectly but it well not always go as planned. If you are uncertain about something . That mean you really don't know , now imagine you scared with lots of fear. You're gone to freak out , and lose your mind cause you don't know what to do. A student make act of the mood he are she is in.Some people act of the fear of the situation and some people panic.If somebody threaten to blow up your school you will be trying to go home don't matter if it's a joke are not.The action I took on the day of the situation I took it out of fear I didn't want to die,because I didn't know if it was for real so I left. Being in circumstances out of your control can be scary if you panic and start to flip out. The best way to handle things that out of your hands is really just to remain calm. Especially you plan on going to college, military , etc. Anything where you gone you be on your own you gone have to learn how just to handle and mange the situation. As a student in high school we deal with uncertainty everyday. Nothing is never in control we have to deal with things everyday. Uncertainty can make you second guess yourself and can make you choose right or wrong choices, but that's just part of life it's something everyone has to deal with.

As a high school student I can plan so many things for my future. In all honesty it's hard with all of these problems that keep popping up that I have no control of. It is one big ball of uncertainty which can cause fear and panic of the unknown. I have my plan A which is to go to college, with grants and scholarships, and it to be one of my top choices. Life, might be like nope, not yet. Plan B is the military, but even there I need to wait and see who ends up in the White House, cause there is a lot of fear and uncertainty there. For the most part I have my immediate future planned out with some life time goals, but life is expected.

Uncertainty can impact my decisions when threatened with a uncontrollable circumstance in life by being too slow. When we were confronted with the thought of someone coming to school and shooting, I was slightly scared but unsure of what I should do. If the threat had been true or if he did happen to come, being too slow to act would have cost me my life. You shouldn't hesitate much when making a decision because you never know when your time would vanish. Being clear about your future doesn't matter if tomorrow you're dead.

Uncertainty can impact your life when you are put in a situation that is not in your control because then you are put under pressure where you could possibly be making a life or death decision and the wrong action could cost your life . For example , the school shooting where the principal told us to remain calm verses panicking . They had no idea whether the threat was real and honesty some of us didn't either , so you ask yourself " Do I want to live ? " You had to think if you wanted to risk staying at school and possibly walk into the hall and get shot or going home and knowing for sure that you are safe . When you are uncertain , you never know whether the decision you are making is the right one . You can just pray to the lord himself that it is and it don't cost you your life . Just make sure before you choose , you think about the consequences .

Personally, being uncertain in any sort of scenerio does not make me go into any state of anxiety or panic. I take a moment and think what is going on, take a moment to stop and think of the situation and begin to process ways to act upon what I should be aware of. My goal is to become a technician, to help those that do not have the slightest bit of what's wrong with their vehicle, which mean I will have know what I'm doing, to take the right steps and make sure I can react quickly in case I mess up. Of course being perfect cannot be on the list, but neither is dishonesty or failure. As far as the supposed "threat" that happened on friday goes I cannot give an answer because I was on a field trip that day and wouldn't know what measures were taken.

My class mates are right. Uncertainty can impact your life in good and bad ways but you have to be ready because that what life throw at you every day. Definitely in the real world them choices will get harder and them uncertainty get tougher and you feel like life is about to end. But on the other hand it can be a wake up call for a lot people to show them anything can happend any time and you should take advantage while you hear. Cause your time can come any time due to uncertainty.

You never know what the future can bring and what circumstances you may face. You don't know if your decisions you making are right or wrong you just going with it .all you can do is hope that you going down the right path . Sometimes you may over think your decision on what you wanna do and sometimes you actually know . Like the threat that was posted we never knew if that was real or fake we just prepared for the worst to come .

Uncertanity is not always a good thing because it can get you in a worlds of trouble if you are sure about it. It causes confusion between you and your better judgement. Uncertanity is peer presure because its two different stories that is going on. Think before you are uncertain about anything, ask urself is this cause for uncertanity or my better judgment.

When you're forced into uncertainty by circumstances not your own, it would force a burden on your shoulders. Being certain about my future is different when you're inflicted with conflicts that could change your course of life. While decisions are made, there is something that could knock your grind and untrack you from your lane in life. But if you make future around unwanted circumstance then uncertainty isn't an option. You wont be suffocated when something happens thats out of your control and at least you'll be prepared beforehand.

being uncertain in a situation beyond your control, in public, you stay calm , the rest of the citizens will also. If you panic, or seem scared, the rest of the citizens will be too. So with that being said people will be uncertain and react differently and can have positive or negative results.

No not everyone is certain about they future after high school but I am. Not being certain about things can be every difficult because you may not know what's going to happen next. That is why it is very important to be certain about your future after high school time move by so fast before you know it, it will be stuck and not ready to move on because you wasn't certain about your future at the time point in your life where u should of been.

Life has a bunch of different a paths that get put in front of us that we have to chose from. In certain situations we become indecisive. A lot of our decisions can affect us in so many ways. We also have to always be ready for anything that can happen. I have my plans laid out for me, but I always look at what can go wrong in certain cases.

Uncertainty is not a bad thing all the time. It could mean you just have lots of options. On the other hand , it could be very harmful to you and your future. Not being certain is hurtful to you in situation you are not in control of. It could confuse you and even make you question yourself, which is not good. How someone reacts to the situation all depends on the person. Not everyone is the same, it is all about how they see the situation and they choose the best outcome for themselves. For instance, if someone is holding a gun to your head , what would be your initial reaction ? One may start to run away to escape the tragedy that is going on. But the other person may be too shocked to even move and feel they can talk the gunman for using his weapon. Not saying that people who don't have a plan are weak minded, but it is definitely safe to KNOW than to not know. But in the end it is all about perception and what perspective you see it from. Different people go through different situations differently , and up with different results.

No one will ever know their future and the obstacles they will have to face to get to where their trying to make it to .Uncertainty plays a major part of life , it can affect many people with making the smallest decisions to making a decision that could change their life . Being uncertain can put a pause on your life . Being unsure about anything can leave you second guessing yourself . I plan on going to college right after high school to major in psychology . Right now I am for certain that's what I want to do but I know that everything isn't meant to go as expected . When someone is up against certain situations beyond their control they may react by doing the following actions. First, it is common to inquire and ask why is this certain event happening? Second, a person may experience a sudden over whelming feeling of stress and anxiety. Third, people react and become scared but look for protection to help them escape the situation. Therefore, people react differently to different situations based on how series the situation is, but everyone wants to fill safe in the end.

Uncertainty can impact your actions for better or for worse when you are a victim of circumstances beyond your control. For example, a person can triumph over the uncertainty and not be a victim of there circumstances. However, a person can also get so consumed on the fear of uncertainty-- thus letting it define them. Fear is the most powerful emotion and you have it in your Possession it can rule out all logical actitivty in the brain. When mixed with uncertainty it can cause a strong minded person to rise and a weak minded one to become another statistic.

My plan for after high school is not as clear as I expected. Going to college is the goal. Trying to get there is the hard part. There's so much to do that they tell you about but you do expect to be this hard. You say your going to work hard, make good grades and go to college. But it's so many obstacles in the way trying to stop you. When you plan out your future most of the time no one thinks about the problems they may face. They way to over come is to not let them stop you and keep going towards your goal.

Going off to college their will be obstacles everyone has to face. Uncertainty, can be a positive and a negative but you have to understand how to stand your ground. When facing a difficult time, you have to stand for what you believe in. Knowing my plan for college, i know their will be distractions and i would have to chose the right decisions. Staying focused on my education will be hard, but achieving my goal is what mainly I'm trying to do. In my life right now i feel like my plan is going good, i just don't want anyone to distract me from my goal.

Whenever I am uncertain about something I can't control, I become passive. A bunch of thoughts run through my head but I end of not doing another at all. I'd rather go with the flow instead of making worse. There is no need to try to react to something that can't be controlled. Why would you react knowing you can't get any progress with situation.?

The human race will forever make poor decisions because of the unanswered questions that come their way in life. Everyone just wants to know why things are the way they are. Whether the question is about someone's choice to threaten hundreds of students lives or just why are we here on Earth. People become easily frustrated by these topics because it's a fight that no one can win. There's only losing when you waste time and this can also alter someone's decisions, someone who feels their life is too fast most likely does whatever they can to have a constant adrenaline rush. You can't describe pain so much that another individual can experience the exact pain that you are feeling. That's what's special about our lives, only we can truly decide what we do. When you're a victim of something that you can't control, you control yourself.

(Forrest Gump) So when i get into the car with my mother, I pray heavily cause I put my safety and my life in my mother hands. I pray for protection because most deaths in Texas occur from car accident. i believe uncertainty helps me take everyday and cherish it and when its out of my hands Ill just give it to God and my pain will be no more. Life after high school for me was like a rat in a maze for the last three years. My mind was clouded with the thought of hitting failure after the diploma. As uncertain as I was, I was determined not to become potential with no purpose. Even with my unclear mind, we're all victims of time. So I bought myself more time by joining the service because those benefits will put me at ease with uncertainty in the future, as it has in my household

Being uncertain in general is something that can impact situations even if you are in control let alone if its out of your hands. Being unsure or hesitant can be dangerous especially in times of crisis. Being uncertain in moments thats out of your hands can impact you in a way that can cause someone or something to be damaged in a way that can't be fixed. For example, you are notified that there was a fire in downtown Dallas and you have a parent that works there. Being unsure you panick become anxious snap at people don't take your final exam and you fail. That uncertainty caused you to act in a way that made you fail and in the end your parent didn't go to work that day. People will act in a manner that is out of there normal when uncertain in sisuarions out of there control

To be uncertain is equal to leading to a erratic future, thus causing a person to do some things out of character. Years ago, I have done things out of character in order to clear my mind of the confusion. I soon became victim to my own self, constantly pondering what was and wasn't wrong within self. To find out I was chained down to society's misconception of being human.
