you've watched during this series made you think about how you and your family eat? it made me think about how much process food we consume and eat and how much money we are wasting in today today bases.Have they made you think about your health two, five and ten years from now? yes because healthy living is great living you never know what might happen and if you changed from a consumer based buyer to an home grown producer and how your health can change plus how much money you save.Do you have a plan for better health? What is it? If you don't have a plan, why not and what do you think your consequences will be? yes I believe home grown gardening is not only efficient enough to give back to your health but able to save tremendous amount of money but all so help grow the community you live in.

I agree with your statement Mr.Ajuobi it is accurate in terms of how society displays the food eaten and what it consist of. Not many people speak about what they consume and many are clueless on how it affects their body. However, the taste is known to be very intriguing yet the nutrition the food is said to provide is actually harmful to the body and causes obesity, cancer, and gained weight due to an excessive amount of sugar and processed food that is unknown to the body. Therefore, the idea of growing your own food is convenient for our body is familiar with the grown food, so it is processed correctly and I plan to live a moderately healthy life with a both meat and vegetables, vitamins and minerals and a workout regime that will allow me to look great and stay active for a long time.

Mr. Williams, I am appreciative of your healthy honesty. After seeing so much GREEN these past few weeks on this website, I'd expect for others' comments to look like "I'll eat more greens than a cow!" or "Sauropods (tall, vegetarian dinosaurs whose long necks sadly forbid them the privilege of reaching for the animals below) ain't got nothing on me!" Your claim to maintain a "MODERATELY healthy life" struck a cord with me. Even though yours may be the second post on this week's thread, I have a gut-feeling that not a single post will match your level of sincerity.

When a person gains knowledge, he or she can no longer have the "privilege" of remaining ignorant. In a household where we gamble with death, I have always been aware of how my family and I could not be able to survive on red meat forever. At first, I intended to salvage my health starting next year when I was living in college, alone. However, I now think that my actions are selfish. The videos that we have been watching motivated me to be a YOUNG activist. I will slowly work towards including the greens in my parents plates and my own. After all, good health belongs to humanity, not to the select few who learn about it.

The videos that I have watched had made me, not so much change what my family eat but be more aware of my food choices. I see my eating habits in the future to be a little more decisive as I believe that as I grow I have to take better care of my body. Life will be more serious as I get older and I intend to eat more fruits and vegetables as I grow to maintain a healthy diet. My plan for the future of my healthy eating habit starts with not food but exercise and then a healthy diet. I will start with trying to run more and eat vegetables after I exercise. The future consequences I see is that I will start to lose my stability and good judgment as I will slowly become weak and confused.

I have to agree with you, healthier diet choices will eventually reflect itself in your health. I also want to start exercising more to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I have to disagree in exercise and then diet. Many dietitians prefer for an individual to compromise their diet then their physical activity. Diet is a large component of a persons health.

This video does make you kind of think but you wouldn't have to make any drastic changes. Being more decisive does help out in the long run of your life though. It's nothing wrong with eating organic food early in your life, all it does is start a promising healthful trait down the road of your life. It is good to know the potential consequences from unhealthful eating, so this makes you aware of what could happen. Exercise every now and then and also eating fruits and vegetables would help you in the future of your life.

These videos have made me think about how my family eats in the sense of how healthy our meals are and how our food affects our medical history as a whole. I have also started to think about my health and how I can better it as a whole. Watching these videos has inspired me to eat healthier and to watch my health as I continue to age into adulthood and further on in life. I plan on eating healthier and exercising to better my health. I believe that doing such things will help prolong my life span and prevent health problems from occurring.

I agree with your choice as how you going to make a change with the food habits you are picking and how you want to become more healthier, that is a good plan because bad eating habits is a bad idea and is causing problems in the world . There is a lot of obesity people in the world that are dying , its not a good out look .

Victor I agree with your statement I feel that people eat processed foods without exercise and just say that it's making them fat when it's truly the lack of movement after eating said foods that is why Americans are so obese but that doesn't mean that people should just eat sugary food and work out to lose the weight you should also have a balance of healthy and processed foods and have a good workout schedule in order to stay in good shape.

This video really does make you think about the future health of your life. It's best to start planning how you can take care of yourself. Exercise and healthy eating habits can guarantee a long healthful life. There really are many consequences to suffer from unhealthy eating and doing so very often. There are many ways to prevent these future risks by following these healthy traits and actions.

I feel as this series has not really changed the way I think about what I eat, for one I already eat fairly healthy with a mix of fresh meats and vegetables with the occasional processed snacks but the thing is not the food is to unhealthy, or has to much sugar and fats but it's that people don't burn off those sugars and fats people eat sugary snacks and don't do anything after I feel that whenever you eat something that goes over your daily calories for the day you should do a equal or greater work out to burn off those sugars say you get a box of donuts and eat three you might want to do about 4 miles of intense running in order to burn off more then you ate but also don't forget to also have a balance of healthy and sugary foods with exercise to burn off the calories of the sugary foods.

The videos make me think about whats in the food that i eat. However, it hasn't influenced what i eat because i'm going to eat it regardless. And though there are chemicals and some of the substances, i have been eating this. Meaning that, i have seen anything negatively correlated with the substances and foods i have ate and drunk.

a.dewberry 4th
2/17/2017 11:58:55 pm

Shaklin, even though you have been eating the way you have doesn't mean it can't catch up to you. Right now you are young so your metabolism might be fast but as you age it will slowdown. When it slows down that is when you need to exercise more and eat better to try to keep weight off. I'm saying this as a suggesting that you should start now while your younger and not waiting until your older because it will be harder for you to stop then.

This video has made an impact on my life I know I don't eat healthy or local food. But I think it starts one step at a time. A healthy lifestyle is not easy to manage with all the temptation. There are more fast food places than organic food places. It doesn't hurt to try something new and out of your comfort zone. just start small and continue till you feel as if it's enough. Eat to live not live to eat

This video made me change the way i think about consuming food because we don't realize how bad the ingredients are that they put in our food.My family just throws something that looks tasteful onto a plate and call it a day , but the videos we have been watching made me realize that the things that are considered "tasteful" can become "disgusting once we figure out whats in it. I wouldnt say it made me think about my health but it did make me think about what going into my body. I do have a plan on the way i eat which will disregard all the junk in my life.

Although once you find out what the foods you eat really are it kinda dose make your stomach turn but that won't make many people change what they eat simply for two reasons 1. The food is cheap not many people have the money nor time to support a family and make healthy meals so they settle for things like fast food and hamburger helper 2. The taste when you really think about it the taste of these food aren't that bad and as more kids grow up with processed foods the taste of natural food becomes foreign.

K. Maple 4th

Johnathan, how do you think they make bad food taste so good? Small children will often say that healthy food does not taste good but is this something we pout in to their minds by making such a big deal about it. If the government made healthy foods more affordable, people would be more prone to buy them.

This video has made me aware of what's on me and my family's plate. It helped me understand more of an importance of eating healthy and organic food rather than processed food. This made me think about health issues that has taken part in some people of my family. Now this makes me think about the consequences or effects that could happen to me pursuing the path of unhealthful junk food. In the next couple years for me, there isn't any drastic change for me since my metabolism is very high and I'm super athletic. However, years into adulthood, I must be aware of the food I eat since it is scientifically proven that my metabolism will slow down and excessive weight gain is more possible. Diets will be something to invest in and staying athletic is also a trait I must keep into my future. Working out and eating healthful will guarantee a long healthy life to be lived rather than paying for consequences of being unhealthy and sick in the future of my life.

Over the time that these videos have been seen, I have really thought about the habits of my family and I. The habits my family has are not perfect, but they are better than the average American's. I have thought about my health years down the road, and I know that healthy eating, exercising, and sleeping habits are key to a healthy lifestyle. I plan to improve my health by researching how to make my eating habits better and learn how to better my life. I disagree with your statement. An occasional salad cannot fix a lifestyle of bad eating. Ingesting harmful chemicals may seem innocent while you're young, but serious health issues follow that. Most people of newer generations die earlier than older generations because we're exposed to more things with moderation instead of fresh healthy natural food . So whether you think so or not, the unhealthy eating will eventually catch up to you.

The videos I have watched have only proven my existing knowledge regarding the foods that are consumed by my family and me. Now, every time a certain food is being bought, I think about everything that product underwent before reaching its current location and I think about the consequences thus limiting the quantity of product. Overall, the videos helped me realize the bigger picture of processed foods; how it affects your body and that, just because you cannot see the damage automatically it does not mean it is there. In other words, I realized that a simple consumption of junk food or a cheeseburger from a fast food place could make a difference over time. For a better health, I plan to limit myself and analyze everything I consume in full detail and I plan to make quality a priority rather than quantity.

The organic food series has made me want to do better for not only myself, but my family. Since my family comes from a rural setting we don't have to learn totally new skills. We just have to apply what we already know into the more modern lifestyles we have now. I've personally already implemented better eating into my lifestyle, but due to my destructive dogs my garden has to be relocated for me to continue my journey. In the future, my healthy lifestyle plan is to eventually become vegetarian because meats are becoming hard for my body to process and to continue dancing to keep my body smiling.

After watching these videos I've payed more attention to the way I eat and how much I'm eating, but health doesn't just depend on what you eat it depends on exercise. I have always thought about my life ten years from now because I know the decisions I make now affect me later. So if your not eating right or getting exercise you are setting yourself for a short lived life. The past few assignments have struck my interest in healthier side of eating. I've began to notice the habits of those around me as well as the availability of healthy foods in my community. Once I graduate and go to college, I feel as though I will be able to be more free in what I choose to eat. Now I am unable to chose what groceries are bought or what I am allowed to eat at home. If I change my eating habits now, years later down the road, I will be healthier when I'm older and more susceptible to diseases. To have an exact plan for better health, I would need to do more research on healthy eating habits, and certain foods. Every great plan is backed with a wealth of information.

1) After watching this series of healthy eating made be reflect on how me and my family eat. Eating out at fast food restaurants as slowed down because my aunt and mom cook more often. I believe my family will continue to shop at the grocery store because it's more convenient and I don't believe we are disciplined enough to garden. Even though we cook at home the meals that are made aren't healthy, so we are bettering that now.
2) These videos made me think of my future eating habits because i know that'll be it best for my body, They opened my eyes to how eating better can be fun and not a chore. I know i want to live a long life and a step towards that is eating better.
3) My plan for better health is to encourage my family to shop at the Farmers market and to stop eating as much fast food and excising more. I am about to go to college i need to condition myself to a good health because i will now have to manage my own.

The vídeos i have watch during the series had made me realize that we should eat healthier more often because there are consequences. What we eat should be more balanced because if we don’t start doing that instead of being paying fast food or process food we will be paying hospital bills. The videos made me think about my health because if I don't take care of myself right now with exercise/sports i won't be able to grow healthy and I will be having issues at a young age. Eating something healthy as a fruit or vegetable everyday will help me so much and it will provide what is necessary for a healthy diet. Yes, what I plan to do is buy more organic food, exercise more often and have a healthy meal everyday with family and every time a want something that is not healthy I would think about it before i consume it. Other things that i would like to do will be to start a garden where i can have my own organic food with family and friend, they could come help and get what they need.

The past 4 videos have really made me sit back and acknowledge the good I consume. My father and my sister are very healthy eaters, they eat organic foods, not a lot of meat and as little to no fast food. My mother on the other hand cooks a lot of traditional Mexican meals, this type of food tends to have a lot fats. I personally have a tendency to eat mainly fried food . This has made me reflect on my decision eating skills because it makes me think about how healthy I will be in a couple of years. If I don't watch what I eat I could possibly gain a lot of health problems which will only make my life harder to live. I plan on starting a new diet but I will start slowly . I will start by changing a the snacks I tend to eat, l go from chips and pastries to fruit. I'll switch a soda or soft drink for water or tea. I'll also start eating with moderation, and try my best to cut out fast foods from my diet plan.

That video makes me feel different about eating unhealthy. If a little boy decides to put the junk food away and eat right I know I can do the same. Unhealthy foods can be very toxic foods causing people body to react differently to things. In the next years I can see myself changing the way I eat for better lifestyle and healthier life.

The knowledge acquired through these multiple videos has changed my point of view on the food that I’ve consumed. The information about how such substances will affect me years from now has doubted what I consume. Breaking a habit is tough, eating junk is hard to break. I've tried breaking this habit due to soccer, but it's something that is hard to achieve. Not having a plan will deteriorate my body, years from now. Not taking proper care of the human body can cause health problems later on like high cholesterol or diabetes.
