This statement is positive because in this quote being unreasonable means taking risks.  However, being reasonable means accepting things as they are, and not take any risks to make changes.  The unreasonable man doesn’t mind taking a challenge to make improvements. The unreasonable man does not bend to fit into society he changes society.  He is not afraid of losing everything that he has if he feels that it will make society or his life better.  According to the quote a reasonable man does not progress he just adapts to the things as they are.  The unreasonable man such as Martin Luther King was not afraid to go against what others thought was the law to try and set better standards. He did not accept things as they were he wanted to change them and it cost him his life. But he took the risk to try and better the world.

In my opinion, everyone should persevere to become an unreasonable man. Reason being, an unreasonable man just doesn't settle for the bear minimum, or "adapts to the world". He tries effortlessly to change the world, and not for the bad, but for the enhancement of this old rock in space.

I also feel that everyone should persevere to become an unreasonable man. If that happens, there will be more people making changes instead of waiting for changes to happen.

The reasonable man is one that thinks logically and just blends in with the world and agree to others laws and policies.  The man that is unreasonable is sometimes called crazy or stupid by others because he is considered to be hotheaded. He is the one that will try to get people to change to his way of thinking and he stands up for what he believes in. I agree that progress depends on the unreasonable man because he is the one that will change the world because he is not afraid of his rights to try and make things happen regardless of the outcome.

That's correct. Being a unreasonable man means risk will be taken and positive things can come from those risk. So we shouldn't settle for just a reasonable man.

I think every man should be unreasonable, because there are events in this world that may make a man emotional. Every man should stand up and face the world, and prove the world that he is an unreasonable human-being. I think being unreasonable lets the world know what kind of man he is.

There are some people who can adapt to any situation they are put through, and then there are others who will expect things to go their way or no way.

James Roberson

Exactly, there are some who adapt to obstacles put in front of them.

If i were a man i would lean more to unreasonable because being the difficult person i am i wouldnt let the world tell me how to be. I would change the world to fit me.

I agree. The world shouldn't tell you who you should be. You should be who you want and leave your mark that says that you did just that.

I agree, because life is what we make it, so it's bed to make it how you want it instead if what it is.

Every lone should be and unreasonable man because this type of man doesn't settle for what to world thinks this person tries to change the world for a good/bad.

“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in
trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

When reading this quote i thought about how a person adapts to life itself. We don't make the world adapt to us, because when we're gone.. The world will keep going with or without us. We adapt to the world as we age, we grow into life & make the best for us.. But we can use the world to our advantage & make something out of ourselves.

NaShonte Lewis

It makes me think of the saying, "life is what you make it." I think that a man who makes the world adapt to him will be more successful because he knows what he wants and what the world should expect of him. He sets high expectations for himself and exceeds them.

Anastacio Carrillo

I agree with this quote because to be considered unreasonable you have to make changes instead if getting use to how it is, that means taking risk is necessary to accomplish what you want or need.

The ureasonable man is the man we need in life in order to progress, because this man takes chances and needs change when something is not right. we need the ureasonable man to be our leader.

Tia Lay

This statement seems to be true. The unreasonable man willdo what it take to get what he wants or need. He will not settle for less. Other wise he would care less. The reasonable man is the man that sits around in the negative environment and will do nothing to change his surroundings. He could really careless he just goes along with the flow of others. In today's time we should all want to have the unreasonable man around so that things can change.

The eye-opening quote, "It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. ~Audre Lorre", is a understandable statement. We are all different isome way ,but our differences are what actually makes is better when we stand as one.

Aiyzasha Poole

The quote is understandable because you yourself can cannot make something adapt to you. The world is quite unreasonable and risky, therefore how would you expect for it to adapt to you? You have to be reasonable and adapt to the world because weather your on this earth or not it doesn't stop for you or nobody else.

Monserrat Aguilera

Hi Aiyzasha,
I completely agree. I think that the reasonable is the one who won't stop pursue their goals no matter the obstacles. There's a quote I heard from my brother, "adapt and overcome".

Monserrat Aguilera
4/4/2014 01:56:21 pm

To my understanding, the reasonable person is the one who has a vision about his future and a clear understanding of what he/she is pursuing in life. I think that an reasonable person is not afraid of taking a risk. The unreasonable, is the person who comes up with excuses of why he/she is not being capable of achieving their goals. Therefore, the unreasonable has to work harder in achieving their own goals.

Deionesha Williams

A reasonable man has more the chance to be successful. You cannot change anything or make your surroundings adapt to you. It has to be within you to change yourself and adapt to everything else. Unless things around you are negative, you stay positive and make things adapt to your positive ways.

A reasonable man takes the position of a victim. They accept the outcomes of life situations as their destiny. They conform to the expectations placed upon them by the world. Outside forces have a greater effect upon their lives than internal factors. The unreasonable man is a dreamer and a trailblazer. They form and develop the world we live in. They have the ability to see beyond their current limitations, and create a path to prosperity. I consider myself to be a unreasonable man.
