Instructions: Develop a brief "What if?" scenario to write about. Your first two words should be "What if."

What if you never saw the light at the end of the tunnel? What does it mean if you did? Many people say that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel but sometimes as we move forward the light seems to move further away with every step we take. What does the light really indicate? Motivation perhaps or discouragement because we still have to put in work. Although a lot of work is invested in a situation sometimes it is simply not enough. So, what if you never saw the light at the end of the tunnel?

What if you woke up one day and realized everything was a lie? What if you had been living the perfect lies but end up opening your eyes and see that nothing is the way that it seems. People are often blinded by others people's actions. They live their life not really knowing what's going on behind their back. So what if you wake up one day and see everyone for their true colors? You see who has lied to you, who has secretly betrayed, who has really been there for you. Would it hurt more to not know the truth or to know the entire truth? So what if you woke up one day and realized your life was a lie?

What if one day you realize the person you loved the most deceive do you beyond forgiveness? Would you ever look deep enough or react in the moment. What if you could not find it in yourself to see past the mistake they made that hurt you deeply. Is there really such a thing as second chances? There are many people that take what happened and learn from it, however they never let it happen again. How would everyone be living with themselves then?

    Mixed Ink is our class blog, the window into our souls. It was designed to improve students' writing, critical thinking and communication skills by giving them a platform to provide meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they see.

    Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought. This is a place where students of all levels can freely, confidently and creatively express themselves and their opinions in a nonjudgmental platform.
