What is your definition of success?

A goal or task that has been completed and has left a positive outcome to its believer, in the short term and long term. Success is not necessarily the right choice or the wrong choice in its own right. A person can develop a disgusting, brutal, and brilliant plan to go and murder somebody. And it would be a success to the person, if they had successfully achieved it. But if the person were to get arrested for the attempt then it would be seen as a failure to the person, but to the police it would be seen as a success. Success can be seen in a lot of ways, through opinions, ideals, and morals. There is not one answer, so the statement above is justifiably my opinion. Not that I own it, but that I agree with it.

My definition of success is being able to stand on your own two feet in this economy. Being able to afford food, housing, and the bear necessities without the help of others, that is success. While it might appear as just being able to afford the bare necessities to some, with how our dollar is basically worth nothing, being able to afford to live on your own and love a stable life, that is success.

I think that you can be successful without finishing something fully. For example, if you are not the highest ranked in your place of work, but you are content and financially stable, then I think that you can be qualified as successful. I like that you said doing good in life though, because I see success as being in complete harmony with your health, wealth and happiness.

Being successful does not just have to be financially, being successful can have a lot to do with your being mentally and emotionally successful. My definition of success is allowing myself to thrive financially and have no worries because of how stable I brought myself to be. Success can be viewed in various ways, but personally becoming financially successful is important to me and is my version of success. Success can be competed despite how difficult the journey can be which is why trusting the process is important.

Success to me has a pretty simple definition. Success is accomplishing any task. As easy as that gets. If I finish something, then that’s a success. If I don’t, then it’s not. I never cared too much on details. As long as it’s done, then that’s a success.

Mixed Ink is our class blog, the window into our souls. It was designed to improve students' writing, critical thinking and communication skills by giving them a platform to provide meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they see.

Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought.
