The only actress that I can think of that can portray the main character, Kya, is Presley Smith. She plays Sunny in A Series of Unfortunate Events, she's blonde, and she's a child actress. She started acting when she was just 8 months old, so she practically grew up on the set, which means she's probably really comfortable acting. And I think for Chase, Nick Robinson can play his role.

I would definitely cast Christian Bale for the role of Chase. I think that this role would suit him if he was still as handsome as he was during his 'American Psycho' days. For Kya's father, I would cast Jack Nicholson, mostly because he looks drunk already, and Kya's Pa is an alcoholic.

Even though I do not know the two actors you named, I searched their pictures up and think they will fit the roles perfectly. Jack Nicholson would make a pretty good "antagonist". Christian Bale also does look like he was a popular dude in high school.

Do you or do you not plan on having Christian Bale fly in as batman and then die in the mud? I'm just kidding. I thought that choice was interesting because I don't remember Bale in any outfit besides the classic suit look. I'd like to see how the casting crew dresses him and how he'd do as a high school football player, I wonder if that would deviate too far from the impression i have of him.

If I could choose the casters, it would have been Bendict Cumberbatch for the detective that was checking out Chase dead body. I felt was always a good actor as a detective. And I chose John Krasinski for Kya's father because I felt like his serious face was perfect for the role.

Benedict Cumberbatch is too British, I think, I feel like he doesn't match the American vibe. John Krasinski would be nice, from his work as a father in other movies. I LOVE Benedict Cumberbatch. He's such a great actor. His way of posing, thinking, and speaking is interesting, luring the audience's attention to his mysteriousness. With these characteristics, it would make the crime scene investigation exciting and build better towards the climax as he casts for Ed or Joe, the police officers.

Kurtwood Smith is perfect if he is younger for the role of Pa. If he could play the part of a father that doesn't care about Kya and act a little bit more like an alcoholic, he would be perfect. If I have to make a film of this book, I would cast "Sareum Srey Moch" as Kya. I can't find much information about her but she is a child actress who plays 'Loung Ung' in the movie named 'First They Killed My Father' which Angelina Jolie is a director. I think Sareum Srey Moch fits with the role of Kya well because she has experience acting in a film about war, loss, and brutality. I think she would understand the feeling of the character and express it out well. Apart from that, she is a non-English child which fits with Kya because Kya is also a non-English child which we can know that from the language she uses.

Ah, Sareum Srey Moch, a really memorable child actress inside the film "First They Killed My Father". She really would be a perfect fit for the role of Kya as she have prior acting experiences about tragedies and loss, which is similar to the situation of Kya in the book. Though I must point out one thing: Kya is American, but still, the actress could fit the role of her pretty well if they were to cast her for the film.

On the top of my mind, I’d say that Fiona Gubelmann could accurately portray Officer Traunt, the woman who found Kya and took her to school. After seeing this Dr Morgan from “The Good Doctor”, a character she starred as, the doctor’s initial bright, bubbly facade resembles that I infer from Officer Traunt. The intentions behind both characters’ friendliness are obligations that came with their jobs.

At first, I felt familiar with Mckenna Grace. When I searched her name on google, I've watched some of her movies and totally agree with you. Her facial expression will suit the feelings that show through Kya's face.

YES I LOVE HER TOOOOOOO! She's a great actor, very suitable for playing Kya in my opinion either. However I'm still confused about Kya's hair color, I heard lots of people saying that her hair is black, and some other people saying she's a blonde...

I think Brooklynn Prince is suitable for young Kya's role. She's a cute little girl who is very talented. In the Florida Project, she absorbed and displayed the character very deeply. For the older Kya, it might be Hailey Steinfeld. I think that she pretty fits for the strong and independent woman role.

I like how you choose two different actors to act for Kya's role. Even though I don't know any of the two actors you mentioned, I've searched Brooklynn Prince online and saw her photo. I think her appearance will fit Kya's role really well too.

To be honest, I don't really know much of the actor and actress. So there is one girl from a movie I watch years ago, The Worst Witch. The characteristic of Kya could be fit with "Bella Ramsey", she looks innocence or soft, but brave enough to be independent. I believe that she could express Kya's emotions and action it out perfectly.

I think that Kristen Stewart would suit Tiffany role in my story. I've watched some of the movie that Kristen Stewart acted and I think she did a really great job especially because my story is talking about LGBTQ+ and she's also a part of that so I think she would be able to relate and express it out clearly to the audience.

To be very honest, I actually don't know really know any actors. If I were to choose, I would choose Emma Watson as the role of the main character, Kya. I watched a lot of movies that she played and I feel like she expresses her emotions through each role very well. She would make a good actress in role of Kya.

I don't know a lot of actors and actresses, but I think Benedict Cumberbatch will be actor to act as the detective of the way he acts as a detective in Sherlock Holmes, I think it really fits him, John Krasinski to be Kya's father of the way to look really serious in A Quiet Place. As for Kya I don't really know actresses that fit her role. And for Tate, I think Timothy is a good role, for his looks and a very skilled actor.

Benedict's appearance and style really match that of a detective, and I personally want him to play the role of a detective either (although some audiences may find it unattractive cuz he has already played detective before). His acting skill is very good, and the role he played always dragged my mind into the scene.

I don't know a lot of actors and actresses so I would probably cast Millie Bobby Brown as Kya, because she's very expressive and great at acting out different roles, if it's not Millie then maybe I would cast Sophia Lillis as well because of her great performance in the movie "IT"

If I made a film of this book I would choose Alexander Julian Jillings to play Tate's role. I have watched a movie called "The Giver" and I think he acts really well in the role of Gabriel inside the movie. As a little boy just like Tate, Alexander Julian Jillings also had an appearance that can match Tate.

I didn't really know much about movie actor and actress, but I think Jennifer Laurence would be a good fit for Kya. Kya reminds me of Katniss Everdeen, whom is very bold and often rely on herself in order to complete her tasks. So in my opinion, Jennifer Laurence can be casted for Kya for when she was adult.

If it’s me, the title of the movie, if it’s just for marketing purposes, I won’t change it very much, maybe it’s just like "Where’s the Crayfish Singing"; or "The Crayfish Singing", the original The title can arouse people’s curiosity, and if someone has read this book, they will know at a glance that it is a movie that is the real book. If I want to change it and look at it from my perspective, I actually prefer direct One thing, like "Abandoned Girl".

I see where you're talking about, your response is quite interesting and I see how you're being very creative about the title of the story. But I kind of disagree with the "Abandoned Girl" because Kya wasn't actually abandoned, but her mom and brother left her with her dad. So I wouldn't use that title for the story.

As most of the comments have mentioned, I also don't really follow the actors or actresses that much. If to name the cast, I believe Tom Hiddleston will suit to be Sheriff Ed Jackson. The sheriff's patience and how he acts with the kids fit with the characters of calmness and intelligence like Mr. Hiddleston.

I've watched many movies in the past but haven't dived in and actually research on who the actors were, so I can't think of many actors. But I'd say I would cast Mark Wahlberg as Pa because Mark looks like a guy who would be drunk most of the time. He also looks like a father who would be rude or show bad behaviors toward their children as well as others.

I laughed when I realized who Mark Wahlberg was and when you said looks like a guy that would be drunk most of the time. The reason was because it reminded me of him playing a role in a movie called Instant Family where he acts drunk most of the time. In the movie he wasn't rude but rather he just doesn't really know how to behave around kids and tend to be too nice to them. I'm sure he would be able to pull off a role of a bad father because of his numerous experiences in acting.

Considering Benedict Cumberbatch's experience playing Sherlock Holmes, he would definitely perfect the role of playing Sheriff Ed. However, I do think Cumberbatch's overall visual is too sophisticated and classy for him to play a small town Sheriff. He's much more fitting in a flashy big city setting.

If I were to cast this movie, I would definitely choose to cast Mckenna Grace as Kya. Mckenna is an amazing young actress who is able to portray such raw and pure emotions, and her performances never fail to amaze me. I would also cast William H. Macy as Pa. William starred in the show Shameless, where he played a hopeless, absentee, alcoholic parent. With his experience, he's perfect to play Pa's character.

I don't know who Mckenna Grace is, but it seems like casting her is a good choice because she is good at portraying emotions. I think this story is very emotional. Therefore, it would require a skilled actress to accurately show each emotion and effectively play the main character of Kya.

With my limited knowledge of Western actors, I choose to cast Owen Wilson as Pa. I think Owen Wilson can pull off the role of Pa, not only because of his fitting age and acting skills, but because he has a very rustic appearance and vibe. I saw above that many people wanted to cast Benedict Cumberbatch as the detective, and I think another option would be to cast Tom Hiddleston instead. Tom and Benedict have a similar vibe, and casting Tom would bring the movie a lot of attention, considering the fact that he has a large fan base.

I think Julia Butters is very suitable for playing Kya (add: she is PRETTY YO), Darby Camp is also suitable. I'll probably cast Nicholson for playing Pa because he is so much like an alcoholic father, and the scene of him breaking the door in The Shining really terrified me. As for Chase, I would choose Uriah Shelton. He is a very handsome young actor, very suitable for the image of Chase. (He can play a playboy pretty well I guess—)

I think Javier Bardem would be able to portray Kya's father well. I don't know him as an actor well, but recently I watched the movie Dune and there were similarities between that character and Kya's father. Both characters seem to be cold, scary, and hard to read. There may be a soft side to them, but that will definitely not be revealed easily.

In my cast I have Zendaya as the main character, Kye, because I think she would be able to express Kye's feelings very well. For Ma I choose Sandra bullock for the role because I know her a movie with characters that just go through the worst things possible. And Finn Wolfhard as the role of Tate because looks and acts not too young and not too mature, which makes me think that he is perfect for the role of Tate.

If I were to choose, I would say I would choose Leonardo Dicaprio when he was young as a role of Tate. I will choose Elle Fanning as a role of Kya because she also has excellent performance skills.

I think Tom Holland would be able to pull Tate. With his welcoming and kind features he would perfectly fit the description of a kind man who teachers Kya how to write and read. For Kya, I think Liza Weil would be perfect because in the role of Bonnie Winterbottom she has express emotional and feeling though her face that made the audience attached.
