Social media has become an untamed beast to be reckoned. More and more, teens like Rashad Little are learning too late the lesson of a digital footprint. A former Lancaster High School senior, Little awaits his fate in a Georgia jail because of a social media connection and a bad decision.

But social media doesn't tell the whole story. It doesn't tell Ra'Shad's story. But you can. You can also contribute monetarily or both. Click here to donate money toward his legal fees and/or follow the instructions below:

Instructions: Ra'Shad Little has been wrongly accused of a crime that started on social media. If you know Ra'Shad and want to support, post your comments below explaining his character. If you did not know Ra'Shad, but want to help save the life of a fellow student, explain why all charges against him must be dropped.

Respond in no more than 10 sentences and no less than five. You must also reply to a classmate's post. You cannot post identical comments on different classmates' posts. Posting shallow comments such as "I agree" or "I disagree" will not earn you a passing grade. Make sure your posts address the reply that you are responding to.

Be sure to--
  • Be clear about your position
  • Provide specific support for your argument
  • Use rhetorical devices and other grammar elements
  • Write EPIC Content (Engaging, Powerful, Informative, Creative)

CAUTION!! Do NOT embarrass me, yourself, your class, the English department, the school or your parents with tasteless, meaningless comments. This is for a grade.

I met Rashad in Mr.Eyum Pre-Calculus class. He sat beside me in the back of the classroom and never said a word unless Eyum called on him, sometimes I would ask him for help on a class assignment and he had no problem at all helping me. I got to know him a lot more at work though. We both worked at Lancaster Movie Theatre (Cinemark 14). Rashad was a responsible young man when it came down to doing his duties at work. He had a stiff walk that would make you stare but anyone that knows Rashad knew that he was a gentleman, quiet, polite, helpful, generous, smart and intelligent.

I don't know the guy, but I know that the situation is wrong. The charges against the kid should be dropped, because he hadn't committed a crime. What the young lady sent to him is her business and her fault. She was not held against her will at any moment.

I agree with Aaron. She shouldn't have sent the pictures to him if she didn't want them out. All Rashad was trying to do was get the girl to leave him alone and he never actually exposed her. He doesn't deserve to be in jail.

I've known Rashad for a while now, a couple of years to be exact. Out of all the time I've known Rashad I do not have anything negative to say about him. Only talking when necessary, he's a funny and charismatic person once you get to know him.
Rashad rides the bus with me, to and from school, and every once in a while we'll sit together and talk, and he will try try to make me laugh about the most simplest things in life that you never pay attention to.

I've known Rashad awhile now myself. I can't remember the class we've had within these four years in high school but what I do remember being in a group with him. Rashad was a quite, efficient, smart, considerate when I needed help on something, and easygoing when things didn't go his way. Yet, he didn't let no one come in between his education due to lack of effort in the group. He was always the one the one to take over when no one could. He never lefted anyone behind if they couldn't finish their work. He might not have been the outspoken one but when it was time to present he made sure it was done and in full perfection.

I never knew Rashad personally , but when I seen him around school he always had a smile on his face. I could tell he was a good person by the way he smiled. By him getting arrested really changed the way I see things with social media. he shouldn't be punished over someone else's stupidity. the young lady should have been in some trouble as well as he was because she played a big part in it also.

I agree, the little things you don't know about someone might surprises you. Rashad was known as a determined person. He was never known to be in any trouble and a negative person to be around so this tragedy doesn't fit his character as a person at all.

I never really knew Rashad but from everyone's comments he sounds like a very quite smart person. I personally feel that he shouldn't be punished for another persons actions. Its a personal choice to send nude pictures no one can force you to. She should be punished for sending them to him because for one It shows she has no self respect for herself. People send nudes everyday but are not the ones being punished for their actions instead the person who receives the photosis getting sentence years in prison. Rashad treated the young lady but it still doesn't cause for all the commotion. The girl should have just left him alone and went on about her life.

I agree. Plain and simple, when he decided to leave her alone she should have just accepted that because she was wrong in the first place. now it has escalated into a whole different circumstance. We are talking about years in prison because of a threat that didn't happen but she stays out of trouble although she actually did commit a crime. Totally Unfair.

I didn't know Rashad Little very well. I had him in a few of my classes last year and he is very intelligent. His current situation is very disturbing firstly because he is a senior and cannot graduate. Secondly, he was wrongly convicted for trying to do better for himself. Rashad seems like he was a kind and generally down to earth person. The description of what the situation made him seem to the public is the total opposite of who he really is despite what the young lady made it seem. I hope everything works out for him because the situation is totally unfair.

I never knew of him at all shall I say but I do know that everyone has greatness deep within them. He nor shall any others be wrongly accused of any type of crime. We are all only human and make mistakes its in us all and cannot be hidden from, as I listened to Ms. D tell the story of his situation it was very clear to me that he isn't what he is being accused of. He found his self dealing with a person who only saw their self and obviously thoughtfully laid out options that included no one but themselve. He has a story to tell and EVERYONE should listen.

I met Ra'shad on the way to class one day my junior year while walking in the hall talking to another friend. As we were all walking, we talked about what we were planning on doing for the summer. We had a couple of laughs as we walked through the hall, and that's when i thought, "Aye he's cool". If you meet Ra'shad in person for the first time and take the time to get to know him, you will find out that he is Responsible, Respectful, and Humble. Most of the time he is often quiet. His personality reflects who he is on the inside, and if you pay close attention, you will see with your own eyes that he doesn't intend to harm, or disrespect anyone in anyway.

He Was Quiet And Very Intelligent. Rashad Was In Mrs. Linn Class When I Actually Had A Class With Him And We Was Reading That Play. I Never Actually Heard Him Speak Until He Read. He Is A Very Profound Student One Of Kind And Is Also Very Nice. I Just Hope That He Doesn't Go To Jail Because He Doesn't Deserve It . There Are More People That Deserve To Be In Jail But Arent. She also sent nudes to a friend of Reshad's and that's getting over looked also. I actually met Rashad in elementary school. Intelligent, disciplined and has never been characterized as a troublemaker. He would actually be one of the first kids in my class to complete an assignment and always stayed on top of his grades. I feel that the punishment he is serving is not right because he didn't decide to do what he was accused of. All my years of knowing Rashad he has never been the type to harm anybody. Always looked out for his younger sister and had a goal in life and that was to take care of his mother and sister and make it far coming out of high school. This one mistake is holding him from completing his goal. It has also effected him because now after dealing with this situation he won't be able to provide for himself nor the two most important women in his life like he intentionally planned on doing...

He seems to be the dependable kind of guy, and by the looks of it, it doesn't seem he'd hurt a fly let alone a girl. When I met Rashad my freshmen year , I over looked him because he simply never said a word out of context. He was nice , quiet , and shy . He only spoke when the tether made him . He often helped me and other with assignments because we knew he was one of the smartest . I never knew Rashad to bother anyone and everyone respected him . They claims against Mr. Little surprised me because this seems out of character . I know rashad should be released because he wouldn't do anything like what they claim.

I am friend of Rashad's family and learning about his through his grandmother, Dr. Green, it seems like Rashad has a bright future ahead of him; a model student, son and grandson!! Regardless of my affiliation with the family, after learning about the circumstances surrounding this incident, it seems that in our civilized society we should be well above incarcerating and criminalizing normal teenage behaviors and curiosities at the tender age of 16. Rather, its seems clear to me that in this case the kids AND the PARENTS should be brought together for the purpose of learning and rehabilitating to bring about change of mind, heart and behavior in these two families who have been affected. What good does it do any of us to end this young man's future at 16 when this is clearly an opportunity for a greater good to come about. The challenge is that this requires more work and thought than our punitive justice system is willing to put forth. These are kids and as long as they are kids we must take accountability for our role as parents and a society in their behaviors.
