My Story to Tell...

12/1/2019

Picture
The clock winked letting me know that my work day was ending. What a hypocrite, I thought. The man on the other end of the telephone was going on and on about how a vintage cookie jar I wanted takes up too much counter space, yet on his crummy kitchen counter sits four! This city is full of wackos!
Read my story above in its entirety. Then, use the following words to create your own story in EXACTLY 59 words--no more--no less: hypocrite, cookie jar, city, telephone. Another thing, you MUST begin your story with the following: The clock winked.

1. INCLUDE: First initial AND last name AND class period.

2. Your story must have 59 words ONLY.

3. You MUST comment on at least TWO other posts from any student.

4. Make sure you reply with fidelity. Provide details about what you think.

5. No identical comments on different posts (i.e., "I agree" or "I disagree" or "I like your story."). Such comments will earn you a zero.

CAUTION!! Do NOT embarrass me, yourself, your class, the English department, the school, your family or your upbringing with tasteless, meaningless comments. This is for a grade.

DISCLAIMER: If you do not respond AND comment on TWO others, you will not receive credit for this assignment. It's all or nothing.

WARNING: If you post even one second past midnight, your comment might appear to be posted, but as soon as it is opened to be graded, it will automatically delete.

Due Friday, December 6, 2019 11:59 p.m. CST

It was good in the beginning but know I’m trying to see how the telephone is hard to come by in your city.

I think that this short story is a very funny way of connecting all the words while staying on topic

The clocked winked at me, while I was in the store shoplifting. My best friend Mar walked in and judge my actions wasn’t right but turned around and grab a drink and left what a hypocrite. This city is cruel and unrighteousness

The story is kinda confusing. The second sentence does not make sense to me, but other than that it is really good.

The way you story read makes me think about the time I was shoplifting and my friend was being a hypocrite about it.

The story could have been better it was kind of hard to follow along but with corrections it will be great.

The clock winked at me as I clocked out. The telephone next to the time clock rang repeatedly. My hypocrite of a manager informed me to answer it. It was a man from the inner city talking about how he ordered a cookie jar and never received it. I hung up and left because I was past my hours.

I like how this story was all placed in one scenario.

The clock winked as it gets closer to closing time. Me dying of starvation ,I sweat thinking of the cookie jar awaiting me in my city home. My hypocrite of a boss sits on the telephone eating as he speaks sarcastically saying" people swear they are starving!", as I stare looking at him with hatred and fury filled eyes.

I don't think the second sentence is grammatically correct but if it is, kuddos to you my friend.

The story overall is very funny. However, there is some corrections to be done.

The clock winked at me. Like it was mocking me. My sweaty Hands gripped the telephone harder listening to the wrath of my mother for breaking the cookie jar. She couldn't do much since she was out the city. In front of me my sister is silently snickered as I get chewed out. Hypocrite, she broke mom's favorite vase yesterday.

The clock winked as it got closer and closer for me to leave my step granny house in a small Louisiana city waitng for the telephone to ring to signal my departure. Every hour hour i sneak into the kitchen to steal cookie on the shelf hidden from me until i relized im starting thee telephone was suppose to ring hours before

The clock wrinkled at me while I clocked out for work. My coworker telephone rung. It was her mother calling from another city, asking her to get a glass cookie jar from the store. She told her mother she gone. And before she was told me she doesn’t lie, what a hypocrite.

The clock winked as it got closer and closer for school to let out. Eager to get home i rush out of class n head home toward the inner city as soon as i got home i got a text on my telephone saying dont touch the cookie jar "hypocrite" i thought but they had weed in them

The clock winked at me knowing I wasn't going to like coming back down here. Ive been a hypocrite the entire time I was up there, apologizing all the time, just to turn around & do it again. My uncle continued to talk to me, I thought of him as a cookie jar big thing trying to make situations sweet (Nohomo). Im headed down the road seeing nothing but open road & trees, I think of all the people texting my telephone & the girl i had to leave. The city of Texas, Dallas. It'll be ok.
