Wemon should keep fighting for what they believe, and keep fighting for there rights, becuase Wemon are no different from me.

I agree with you Aaron, women have all the same rights as men!

Shermaria Willams

I agree because women have always had to fight to do things such as vote, or become a lawyer, or a teacher. And today it is no different because women are looked down upon as if they are incapable of doing the job.

Chynna Harris

I agree that women across the globe fight for their rights to be heard because even though we have rights already we still have a disadvantage to society. For the longest, women were not able to vote nor work, but now we can!

Lauren Gillian
3/5/2014 08:45:58 am

I agree with Chyna Harris women have fought for the rights to vote and work.

I agree with you Chynna, society does sort of show favoritism to men rather than women.

Jessica Thompson

I agree because we all have rights but in many situation women are divided when it comes to some rights and simple have to fight for it.

I agree with you Chynna, they've been struggling for so long and now they can go really far!!!

Today, although women have rights, they are still considered below men. Whether that's as far as men making more money or being called stronger, a real double standard exists and it isn't fair to women.

Lauren Gillian

Women has fought for the right to be able to do what men can do for years, but its still some discrimination against women. We as women still have to fight for our rights in places where men are predominantly in position to be the head and now that women have fought , women can be the head and be powetful. But that still doesn't mean we don't have to fight for rights, because some men doesn't like a women having more power then them.

There have been many of times where women were underestimated. The quote "Every day, for centuries, women all over the globe continue to fight to be heard and to have their human rights respected" is simply true because women have fought for what they have and can have now.

James Roberson

Indeed, women have been miscalculated. There are many men who believe if they bombard them with pressure that women would just give up. History has proven this to be erroneous. Women have the right to vote because they did not give up and kept on forcing the rightful truth that they so richly deserve.

James Roberson

righteous truth that they so rightfully deserve.

Ronnie Carter

Women have indeed been fighting for their rights for centuries, ever since the dawn of civilized society women have been tugging back and forth with equality and human rights.Women have been struggling and fighting for the rights they deserve and will continue to do so for years to come. Even now they are still fighting and will eventually succeed where they have before in the past.Human rights were intended for everyone, regardless of race, gender, nationality, and even age. It is impossible to believe that they will continually be denied from attaining what is rightfully theirs.

James Roberson

Of course we all have to go through challenges dealing with equality, but not as much as women do. For centuries they were denied the right to even vote. Even in todays time, there are women who are stereotyped for being in high positions of supremacy. A lot of men, not all, are puzzled to the fact of a woman existing in control. Pay attention to the sports; professional women basketball players are paid less because they are sought out as not being as aggressive, or entertaining as males. When in actuality there are women who could cross a male basketball player in a hot second!

I agree with James because women are divided by their rights even though we are all supposed to be treated equally, it still doesn't happen all the time to women

Devante Dickerson

To be honest i don't believe that women are still fighting for their rights and to be heard because they're doing things that mean have done for years and are probably doing it better than the males are doing.

Anastacio Carrillo Jr.
3/7/2014 02:42:56 am

I agree with the quote because men are treated with more authority so now women have to fight for what they believe in or for anything they just want to say.

Shermaria Williams
3/7/2014 06:21:59 am

Women don't have the same respect that men have so it is almost like we have to fight a little harder just to prove that we can do the same things such as becoming a lawyer or even a president, & this still exists today.

Over the years women have been discriminated because it was believed that women could not be as productive and talented as men. But in today's society women have proven that they are capable of achieving great things as well as men so I believe that talent has no gender. One example is Deborah Sampson Gannett who was the first woman to join the U.S. army by disguising as a man which at that time women were not able to do that. Her gender was later on discovered but she received an honorable discharge from the service. She proved that women have what it takes to change the course between women and men.

I agree with the quote. Over the past years women have been fighting for equal rights, same rights as men's have. Not everyone agrees to give equal rights to women. People think because they are women, they won't have the same capacity as mens have. But the truth is that women's are smarter than guys. A man wouldn't be a men without equality of the women. As our preamble says " we the people " , meaning human rights were indeed for everyone .

I agree with the qoute and everyones statements. Women have been fighting many years and are still fighting for their natural rights to be equal and respected as an equal.

This is a place where students of all levels can freely, confidently and creatively express themselves and their opinions in a nonjudgmental platform. They are required to respond to and critique each other, but degradation, slander, lewdness, etc., will not be tolerated.
