It's written that "This too shall pass." It is also a cliche that, "If it ain't one thing it's another." (Which is the most believable.) But, in the scheme of things, "You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it."

Instructions: Consider the notions above. What influences do these notions have on your lives?

If it ain't one thing it's another can be applied to many sections of your life. It can be applied personally and financially based on the things that surround your lifestyle. For example, it can be applied to personal life that deals with making decisions that would either benefit you on spot, take time to benefit you, or just won't benefit at all. It's used often in personal life because if you're in a gain or pain situation you will have to be challenged and this is when the saying "If it ain't one thing it's another. It's applied financially because in the financial world it is a must to maintain and balance money. There will be some downfalls and a time to make a choice, and that's when it becomes "If it ain't one thing it's another. The influence this notion has is helping us make better choices and be able to benefit from them. If this notion is correctly implemented it could be positive throughout life.

I like your comment in the way that it is unique. Most people usually connect these notions to a negative aspect of life. Also good for you: you used examples in your argument ( I forgot to do that on mine). On a different note I agree on your point that if the notions are applied correctly it could be positive in life. It is seen in people who ate in situations where there not getting some good aspect in life there getting a good part of life in a different area. For example some people that aren't doing well financially can be doing well family wise. It shows the notion " if it not one thing it's the other".

Those cliches are correct everything passes- well in till your sun has set. In life the pebbles ( health, finacial, mentalproblems ect.) in your boot go away intill one of them doesn't pass and you end up dead. The other cliche is true in away for other reason - but back to the mainpoint of this comment; The cliches influence my life by pushing me to try to prevent any problems from occurring in the first place. They push me to improve in other words. It also leads me to emulate individuals who's strong points are my faults. That is how this notions influence life , well in my life at least.

The notation "if aint one thing its another " is something i consistantly say through out my life because as soon as i get over one thing, some thing else is knockin at the back door. When i say those thing someone always remind me that this too shall pass, which tells me just like i got over tyhe last struggle i could get over this one as well. I hear ppeole all the time say you were givin this life because you were strong enough to live it. This i know because i was raised in a christain home and we always remind ourselves God never puts more on us that we can bare.

I believe that the quote " if ain't one thing its another" is something everyone says because life come with challenges and its takes a man or women to complete them. Life isn't easy and theres going to be a lot of things that's going to come your way. The way u react to it is how its going to reflect on your life.

All of the notions apply to my life because they inspire me to push on and continue to strive to achieve my goals. Whenever I am stressing about something, "This too shall pass" reminds me that nothing is forever. Throughout life, I will come up against many obstacles but only the strong survive. "If it ain't one thing it's another" applies to my life by reminding me that there will never be a time in my life where I will be "stress free." The notion "You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it" is what inspires me the most. God has a plan for each and every one of us. He knows what he's doing and he doesn't make any mistakes, so who am I to question him or what he puts me through? I am a child of God, and I believe he will take me wherever he wants me to go!

I agree with majority of my peers because those cliches are actually happening in their lives. They can relate to the statements. Also I know they are strong because they made it through to give their testimony. Amen

Life is good for 60 seconds then there is a problem.Then when you solve that problem, you get another problem. A good example is my past car.I couldnt go at least 2 weeks without something going wrong.But I survived and finally bought a new car with no problems. I get more hours at work,but then I get into more financial situations. Sometimes I feel like giving up but its not worth it. God solves these problems for a reason.

I believe that the quote "if it ain't one thing it's another" is so true because there is always something going on with me. Soon as I get over one obstacle, I have to climb over another one. Life is never easy, that's why nobody is perfect. You will always have to complete something as soon as you get through with another problem. Everyone has their own different problems.

The notions apply to my life in various ways. Whenever I feel like I want to give up or throw in the towel, I think to myself and realize that life isn't fair nor easy. It's all a test to see who will survive. Like the notion "You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it" says, I am strong enough to live the life chosen for me. I believe God can and will give me the necessary tools that I need to survive.

"If it's not one thing it's another" is about how life is a constant struggle. It seems like whenever I solve a problem another arises immediately after I can never catch a break, but that's what comes with living. Every struggle I have I am able to overcome because nothing is more than a person can handle. There's always going to be problems in my life but I just muscle through it. The quote let's me know that there's always going to be problems but they're not anything I can't handle.

This quote means if there's not one thing that's stopping you , there's another thing that's stopping you. because life isn't easy , life comes with alot of challenges and it takes us to take care of it . It's alot of obstacles that we have through go through but we can't stop , we have to keep moving forward because what ever happens , it depends on how u react to it and thats how it's going to reflect on you but God will never put more on then you can't handle.

The statement "This Too Shall Pass" is true. I say this in clear view of my life experiences and I can relate. I can relate to the statement because any and every situation I've been in I've made it out well and alive. God doesn't put you through anything that he can't help you out of. With that being said look at the obstacles as a lesson, you were just strong enough to make it through. Count your blessings and not your trials.

There will always be something , regardless. Something will always need to be done or fixed. If it ain't one thing it's another actually helps me. It keeps reminding me to never let my guard down when I think that things are always going good. Whether things are good or not something else is going to come along to try and knock you down. This to shall pass also helps me keep my head up because I know that nothing will last forever. That gives me just enough motivation to keep doing right.

I think that the phrase "if it ain't one thing it's another" is really true, most of the time we have at least two options. We have to choose to do something or do the other. Like the decision of going to college per example, we can decide to do a career to have a better life and future or only to look for a job in a restaurant, a store or in any place. I also think, as my mother always say, God only gives you what you can handle, he will never give you something that is stronger than you. In life you can manage only what you are able to handle.

I agree because it happens to me in reality. For example, recently I had to turn in a poetry book. Once I finally finished that project, I had to do a packet for another teacher. This is living proof of the quote above. In conclusion, "if it aint one thing , its another ."

All three cliches have an immense influence on my life. Life has the tendency of beating you down, to the point of wanting to throw in the towel. However, things don't last forever. Just like good things fade away, so do unpleasant things. Everything happpens for a reason and whatever cards you were dealt, is what you have to play the game with.

God knows that we are strong enough to live this life because not everyone grew up in a safe and peaceful environment. Some grew up taking care of themselves and yet we made it to our senior year and about to graduate.

The notions apply to our everyday lives in my opinion. " if it ain't one thing it's another " , is one of my favorites you can fix something then BOOM here's comes something else. Life is full of chaotic surprises. As humans I do believe we are given a life because we're strong to live it meaning we wouldn't be here if we weren't suppose to. I strongly believe in all these cliches because personally I feel that they make perfect sense. Especially when you experience them for yourself.

I was given my life because I am strong enough to live and survive my daily struggles. It is what makes me who I am and what ive become over the years. Most people pick apart another human being not knowing what goes on behind closed doors. Like they say "Put your feet in my shoes and you'll fall on the first step. " This is Gods way of building our character, personality, and abilities. I am thankful that He puts me in these different situations. "What dont break you , make you. "

You are so right! It is all in the matter of how we see our struggles because if we really think about it, like the saying goes "same hell just different devils" we can't measure nor compare our struggles to other people's. It would be completely unfair because No one gets the same life. It all depends on how hard we are willing to work in order to get away from the lifestyle we don't want to be in. For example, Oprah Winfrey grew up to unwed, impoverished, teenage parents, but her hard work is what helped her to be so succesful we can all be like that if we want.

"We're given this life because we're strong enough to live it", No one has more on their plate than what they can handle. In one's eyes everyone else's problems might seem easier the truth is it's all about how we handle our situations not how we see our situations. For example, the cliche, "If it ain't one thing it's another" there's always an excuse for what we want but don't want to work for. Anything is possible in life, any dream can come true all it takes is effort, but if we are lazy and dont bother to try we won't get very far and that's where excuse after excuse comes in.
