I think the image is trying to tell us how people are so trapped in the internet. What I mean by this is that people around the world are using to much technology which is making people feel like it’s needed in everyday life. We as people need to stop using technology because it’s messing with our minds.

i agree all the way with you because most people that tend to their phone instead of other things end up having some type of brain damage or something

S. Jones 2nd Period

Not necessarily brain damage. I believe that people that tend to their phones instead of other things forget what priorities are.

I 100% agree with you because people see what other people have and wish that they had/have the same thing.

T.Mathis

Yes, when people observe others having things that they desire they tend to become envious, envy will soon lead to destruction.

I definitely agree with N. Robles. I think it’s focus is more on social media and how social media has our minds in bondage. I feel that students think social media helps with social skills and it doesn’t. I believe that the content we see and post hurts us more than help us.

S.Brown

Yes people spend there time on social media and it doesn’t help with our social skills.

I strongly agree with you N Robles because even us as teenagers think that we need social media everyday. Most of us the first thing what we do when we wake up is grab our cell phones and check our social media.

M. Neal link

I can relate. The internet is ruling everything including our minds like you said. There are people that will literally make real life decisions based off what the internet told them.

T.Mathis 4th period

I also believe that most people are trapped in the internet, although I feel like that’s not what the image portrays. The image above visual shows how social media can do physical harm to people due to the thoughts and opinions of others.

M. Gibson
1/14/2020 12:55:30 pm

I feel that the image is telling us about how people are to locked in to there phones and not open to the outside world. The image is telling us that we shouldn’t focus on social media and unchain from it.

When i see this picture it shows how people get so attached to facebook and social media in general cant get away , cant shut the computer and cant stop to the point where its too much or you get exposed or someone makes you look like a figure that your not .

Valentin, K
1/16/2020 12:54:13 pm

I agree with you because when people are so attached to social media then get exposed or something it makes them feel like there’s no way out. Like if there only way out is to commit suicide..

T.Davis
1/16/2020 02:01:03 pm

I agree behind social media people go into depression , suicidal mode and it’s literally breaking down our countries and we don’t even recognize.

M. Neal link
1/17/2020 11:38:19 pm

I can slightly see where you coming from. Saying getting attached to Facebook is stating the obvious. The picture goes way deeper than that. Facebook does play a huge part in social media distress, which is the internet.

Valentin, K
1/14/2020 01:11:05 pm

In this image the author is showing the notifications, they have a lot. The person looks exhausted and old. And doesn’t look like he’s in a good place. I feel like this person is hiding his real self behind his social media accounts. He has so many messages like if he’s popular. But yet he doesn’t look like the popular kind. So he might pretend to be someone he’s not. Maybe because he’s a loner, he’s miserable and or he isn’t happy with who he is himself.

In someway you have a point because most people on social media that's famous because of doing what they do on their end up being theis way.

T Leija
1/17/2020 09:38:06 pm

I agree with you because there is many people who get social media famous by going dumb things just to drag other peoples attention.

I. Thomas 3rd
1/15/2020 01:58:54 pm

I feel like this image is stating that people in general, pay to much attention to whats going on on the internet instead of paying attention to whats going on in the world. Many citizens sit and laugh at whats on their phone but someone could of just got shot around the corner from them. Like technology isn't more important than surroundings. That's how many people end up having health problems because to much time is put into their phone .

Valentin, K
1/16/2020 01:03:00 pm

I hope you don’t mean health issues as in heart attacks and the flue and that kind of health. In my opinion I feel like they get mental and emotional issues.

T.Davis

I believe this pictures is trying to show us that people we are hooked on social media and the whole world revolves around it. We are always hooked to our phones but some how we never know what is going on in the real world.

C Angelique 3rd

I think so too because people make can make money of of our social media such as YouTube and us not knowing that we just looking at them and they just steady making money off us. (PERIOD)

J.Beaty 4th period

I believe this picture is saying social media is the number one cause of suicides. And I think that social media causes people to look at their selfs differently.

C Angelique 6
1/16/2020 11:32:14 pm

So do I think that social media make people look at there self different, because, they want to look like the people on social media an not them self PERIOD

Maybe the “f” stands for false advertising and identities which are holding people down through social media platforms.

A Curry 3rd
1/16/2020 11:29:30 pm

In my opinion I think the media is wrapped around our whole body, and people tend to be on social media when they could be doing something making money off of social media.therefore they take what they can and use it against us with the power the they have knowing that they going to win.But it also can help us financial wise and also smart wise it can go both ways.

S Jones 2nd Period
1/17/2020 12:37:03 pm

In my opinion I believe that the author is portraying an image describing how most people are hooked on social media , social media lets people be whoever they want to be , even if it’s not really them. We get so attached to our social lifes that we forget who we really are in real life.

T Leija 1st period
1/17/2020 08:52:57 pm

I feel as if this image is trying to portray a very important message by saying that us as a generation are getting controlled by social media. We’re missing out on a lot that is going on in the real word just because we spend so much time on the internet and don’t realize on we’re missing out on. They try to appeal someone they are not on social media to draw other people’s attention

K.Mack 6th Period
1/21/2020 01:51:55 pm

Yeah maybe this photo is telling us that as a generation we are being held back because of technology, even though technology advances everyday.

X. Johnson 3rd period
1/17/2020 10:54:08 pm

I believe that social media is such a large platform that has always served with “helping” people with a social status. We as a society are so attentive to likes and follows that we are naive to the damage that it causes us everyday. We are so worried about our own appearance. Sometimes we post the things that’s relevant to our status that we may sometimes disregards the next persons feelings, yet alone our own feelings. We sometimes try portraying something or someone we’re not just to get the views or the likes. Society makes us feel as if our social status is everything, which attracts us to our cellular devices and glues us to our seats to watch a screen with post that saturates our minds with degrading, dumb, depression, anxiety, self-perfection, and lack of communication. Not noticing that all of these causes our hands to be cuffed, our feet to be tied, our head to hang low, and our eyes to droop.

M. Neal 1st link

The image is trying to tell us that we are a slave to the internet. The ones that are being productive with businesses are not necessarily being slaves, but still in a way. Nowadays we do everything the internet tell us to do. All the challenges that trend on social media we follow. We can barley function three minutes without surfing the internet.

K. Mack
1/21/2020 01:49:30 pm

Maybe the image is trying to tell us that something in his life involved with the letter “f” is holding all his weight down, or chaining him down
