Respond to and explain your response to the following: Is homework beneficial? Explain your answer.

I think homework has a reason for helping students get used to doing assignments at home. Homework gets students used to sparing time for assignments and taking time out of their day to finish it. I think homework is good for making students used to being able to do assignments at home as well because it's something that's needed in the future and getting used to it earlier is easier than later.

It is a great way to build memory. Say you have a test and there’s a question that you’re stuck on. You can try to remember how to work it by thinking back on lessons and homework that you have done in the past.

Yes, homework is beneficial from learning new knowledge and trying to get a under standing on your assignment. Many people would make some mistakes on wrong answers if they have trouble to solve or analyze in short and sweet words to get an understanding on the homework. It's better to see when you increased your own knowledge what you learn during class.

I don't think its beneficial because it usually goes over what we already learned in class. And then have only half the students turn it in, and then that also gives teachers with extra work, grading papers, and teachers think that some of us students just have all the time in the world, saying we are just kids and don't have real responsibilities.

Homework is beneficial because we all need to be accountable for doing work on our own. Not everything in life is going to be spoon fed to you, you have to learn how to do things yourself. I think homework can be beneficial for students because it gets them used to be able to do assignments at home. Being able to spare time out of your day and making a schedule for any assignments needed to be done is important and homework can help start those earlier. I think homework shouldn't be done or given daily or in too much in one week because it could take up too much time when there's enough time to do work at school.

I think homework isn't necessary to have. When the teachers give you work to do at home you might not have time, considering if you are an athlete or have a job, etc. When people are out of school the teachers have no idea what the students are doing after school they might be doing something important. This is why school is in a building not outside of it.

Homework is not beneficial. Homework brings extra stress to students who have jobs, and extra curricular activities this could impact their mental health or just health in general. A lot of the homework assigned nowadays can be found on the internet which can lead to us not learning properly. Having practice is different from having homework because homework is graded by teacher then never discussed again. Practice allows for mistakes and lets you have the ability to ask teachers questions without your grade suffering. While some teachers discuss homework and actually use it for class lessons, most dont and simply use it as "busy work". Homework can also make a student lose intrest in school or putting effort in the work they turn it

Although, I hate having to do homework, but I do think it is somewhat beneficial. I say this because it honestly does help exercise your brain. And it also helps one to practice their skills, and learn more about the subject itself. And it can also help improve students routine, and help them learn new skills and get used to studying as well. I believe that homework is need so we can keep the knowledge in our brain once we go home. I am also not talking like a full on 50 question worksheet. just a easy 10 question worksheet to keep everything in our brain.

Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought. This is a place where students of all levels can freely, confidently and creatively express themselves and their opinions in a nonjudgmental platform. They are required to respond to and critique each other, but degradation, slander, lewdness, etc., will not be tolerated.
