Jane Austen (1775 – 1817) and Franz Kafka (1883 – 1924) are considered great writers today. Their books continue to sell, and they are widely read and studied in schools everywhere. However, neither of them sold many books while they were alive.

Can a person be successful without being well known? Explain what makes a person successful.

Yes, a person can be successful without being well known or famous. For example; Tyler Perry, before he was not always successful in playwriting, he had to keep persevering in order to succeed then he became well known and famous.
What makes someone successful is their contribution, and dedication to their goals in life. Also is when they put forth the effort in their goal to make sure they achieve their aspirations.

Being Successful Doesnt Have Anything To Do With Your Level Of Recognition . You Can Be Sucessful At What You Do But Not Be Well Known . For Example , You Can Be The Top CEO At A Fortune 500 Company In California . You Successful But I Don't Know You .

I agree with Taylor. Success isn't measured about recognition , now a days people say " It's not what you know it's who you know. " I don't believe that's correct you as a person choose your legacy.

Yes, a person can be successful without be well known, just like Mrs. D, her success comes in her writing. Success is what you make out of it. By seeing how Mrs. D carrying herself, the spot lights and big houses does not matter to her she just love writing and she successful at it.

A person does not always have to be known to be successful. You can be a shy, quiet person and succeed. Long as person take care of their business and do what they have to do to succeed they do not need popularity. However, once more a person does Not have to be known.

I believe that success is measured by how bad you want it. And you don't have to be well known to be successful, because there are a lot of famous people who don't have no type of cash to put behind there name.

A person can be successful without being known. Many people acconplished great things and were very successful and unknown. What makes a person successful is reaching their goals and accomplishing great tasks. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and one persons success may not be seen as success to someone else.

Yes you can be successful and not be known. There are many people out there in the world that are very successful but not known. For example a doctor it takes hard work and a lot of time to become a doctor but at the end of the day you will turn out a successful person.

In my opinion, you can be successful without people knowing who you are. It's all about how you view yourself in your own eyes. Like DQ said, everyone knows there is a CEO for the taco bell company, and everyone knows he is successful, but not everyone knows what his name or would be able to recognize him on the street. However, I feel that in the eyes of society, you do have to be well known in order to be considered successful. It doesn't matter what you do, people won't think anything of you unless they know who you are.

There are alot of football players that are successful that aren't well known. Such as the guy who played for the Dallas Cowboys.That had got in a car crash, and his best friend died. Had that not have happen wouldn't anybody have known about him

Yes you can be successful and be unknown. To me, success is being at a certain point in life were you dont have much things to worry about. If you want bad enough like you want to breath then most certainly will. Just be dedicated and invest time in yourself

A person can be successful without being well known or renowned. It all depends on what their aspirations and goals are, and if a person has no known goal then success can be measured by their contentment. If one is comfortable in their current state but also knows he/she can improve to better themselves can also be successful. The only difference is that their success has an unlimited potential.

An individual whom is not recognized for their accomplishments are the ones who I believe are most successful. Being well know is not all it takes to become successful , but it is the knowledge and work that matters. One does not announce its accomplishments, success comes with being humble and staying true to yourself.
