People tend to follow the crowd and do what majority of people like to do whether its wrong or right, and they dont seem to think to themselves if what everyone is doing at that time right or wrong. Thats what the quote says to me and i agree with it.

Deja Starks
2/11/2014 01:08:47 am

I agree, simply because most people only think about the outcome right then an there and not how it could effect their life in a long run.

Montez Thomas
2/14/2014 02:08:02 am

Yes I agree, sometimes what everyone else does is not always best for you or benifit a you at all.

Deja Perry
2/14/2014 09:09:59 pm

Exactly. I love the way you worded that. There come times in the world were people tend to follow what majority of others or things have tooken place without thinking of the outcome or the consequences in which took place after the act.

Kendall Jarvis

I agree Kavion to what you said. If you follow others you want be original.

I agree with kendall because everyone try to be the same

This quote is saying, whenever you see yourself following and not being a leader it's time to reconsider some things. Its easy to be a follower, but its harder to be a leader. Don't pick a side just because the majority is on it but to pick it because it is right and that some decisions can have a long term effect on you.

jessica thompson
2/11/2014 11:03:02 pm

There are many people who tend to lose their self and or change who they are when surrounded by new things and people. The quote "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect" is simply true because a follower will never get their own success. They will only be apart of helping a leader with theirs. Its important because the majority side that most chose is the side that needs to be over thought and walk away from.

Myles Evans

Trying to fit in or to be cool to maintain a image can only last for so long. When you find yourself trying to be something you're not, it will catch up to you in the long run. People are mainly worried about what other people might say about them or how might they look at them if They're not "cool" and "popular". Then after all of the acting is over you're going to realize that it was all a waste of time, you could've been yourself from the beginning.

Franeique Ashby
2/11/2014 11:38:35 pm

That's a great way to think of it Myles. If we stop listening to what others think this world will be such a better place. But then again, if we do think alike act the same this world will be so boring.

Franeique Ashby
2/11/2014 11:34:33 pm

I truly do love this quote for the main reason that it talks about happens in our day to day lives. Basically he states that if you are constantly agreeing with what society wants you to then it is time to stop and think about it since you are the author of your own thoughts and opinions. Most people should stop what others think and listen to themselves for a change and maybe this world wouldn't be so much alike for once.

Yes, you should change and stop following others and be a leader.

I agree that "whenever you find yourself on the side of majority it is time to pause and reflect", becuase majority will not always be right. For example, when you're stuck on a question of a test and you ask to see what everyone else has, and you notice that the majority has the same answer, you put that same response just becuase of that. Then you fing out that the answer was wrong. Many people tend to put themselves on the side of majority, becuase they feel that if they do, they wont be wrong. On the other, wrong results is what they get.

shaqualan busby
2/13/2014 10:10:15 pm

I agree because its easier to what others are doing because if you single yourself out you look and feel odd , but if you know who you are that usually doesn't happen

Kendall Jarvis
2/13/2014 12:52:43 am

The quote is saying if you do what others are doing it will be no creativity to your own personal skills. Stop following the crowd and reflect own what makes you different.

Vanessa Crowe

I agree what this is saying because you should want to be different from others and have a more creative students far from others

I think this quote is seying sometimes you need to pause and take a look in the mirror and see were you stand and how you look. Then look at the people you hang around and see how the are

Tyionna McConic
2/13/2014 11:43:11 pm

I agree if everybody actually stopped for a second and really looked deep within themselves and then look at their friends they would notice a lot and they would probably start to reconsider themselves.

Alaysha Wilford
2/15/2014 07:51:25 pm

I agree meaning to learn how to think for yourself and be yourself and not based your opinions and moves on what others do. Have your own image and be true to it.

octayvia morgan
2/13/2014 01:45:02 am

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect, because you with everyone else and not with yourself. Furthermore, you just playing follow the lead with your lifestyle. You should just go your own way and do you not what others are doing.

simone frazier link
2/13/2014 12:54:14 pm

I agree that people follow the crowd and do what majority of people like to do no matter how stupid or wise it is. Wrong or right everyone will do it cause everyone wants them to. Though if they are being themeselves and original it wouldn't matter how others felt.

Brianna Elliott
2/13/2014 04:44:49 pm

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect", is a true statement because society is like "monkey see, monkey do". Instead of thinking for themselves they let others think for them. When we find ourselves always playing follow the leader and never the leader, we have to step back and reevaluate ourselves.

Kendarious Fields
2/13/2014 04:56:10 pm

I feel that you are right but before any decision is made shouldn't it be given a thought. The world is made of 95% followers and 5% leaders. That 5% had to make a great decision of what side they wanted to be on.

Tyionnam McConic
2/13/2014 11:37:47 pm

I honestly agree just because you see one of your friends or classmates do it doesn't really mean you have to do it.

Morgan Cooks

I agree with you because everybody always want to be with a crowd and never can as themselves

Kendarious Fields
2/13/2014 04:45:42 pm

I want to challenge the quote that whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pass and reflect. Before you should ever choose a side you should give it a deep thought especially if this decision affect more than you.

Brianna Elliott
2/13/2014 04:49:17 pm

I agree that we should always think put deep thought into every decision that we make.

Shaqualan Busby
2/13/2014 10:06:39 pm

I agree with this simply because we are sometimes shaped by the ones where surrounded with and begin doing the things and lose track of what wete supposed to be doing and forget about our goals.

Tyionna McConic
2/13/2014 11:35:23 pm

Whenever you find yourself doing something just because "everyone else is doing it" maybe you need to take out the time and think if it is something that you really want to be doing.

Montez Thomas
2/14/2014 02:06:44 am

Most people tend to follow the crowd when they see everyone doing so or if it involves someone they know. If you find yourself being dragged in with everyone else you need to space or distance yourself and see if that's what you want or right for you. Pause an ask yourself what can benifit you from doing what everyone else dose.

Abrasia Smith
2/14/2014 02:11:08 am

AGREED ! The quote "Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect" . This is the absolute best quote yet , simply because in this society we tend to go along with the crowd, we really don't know why but because the simple fact that the majority of people is doing it , or saying something we feel the need to do so as well. For example when were in class and Mrs. D ask us to compare our answers and try and find evidence to prove that the answer you have is right , even thought everyone got Answer choice A. and you have answer choice B.C. you follow through with answer A. Because the majority choose that answer. The right answer came out to be B. and you had all the evidence . Just start going with what you feel and do what you want to do .

Vanessa Crowe

When lying not telling the truth about yourself and who you really are instead of trying to fit in the crowd, than its time to stop pause and get back to REALITY.

Deja Perry
2/14/2014 09:13:40 pm

The quote is well put. Whenever you see that your becoming a follower on the back end side, its time to sit back and analyze things a little more. Have a small talk with yourself about your moral and think about the many ways you can change your following habit. Being a follower isn't cute simply because your not voicing your own opinion, instead your sitting back and waiting for it to all come to you.

D'Angelo Johnson
2/15/2014 12:16:37 am

The quote to me means if you are doing anything different from others and it seem wrong, stop and look at what your doing to make sure you are doing the thing.

Michael Busby
2/15/2014 12:52:48 am

I gree with the quote for I believe you should be your own person. Who's to say, and judge you. No one can truly define someone good or bad. When you start to think for yourself that's when you become your own true person.

Danisha Smith
2/16/2014 08:43:47 pm

I agree with Michael because when you're caught up in doing what everyone else is doing just for the heck of it, you are not yourself. You are more so trying to find yourself. Making your own choices without the influence of others will define who you really are.

Sometimes we as people are what others want us to be and we do not take the time to reflect on what we are doing right or wrong, we need to be ourselves and think carefully about what we want to be or do in life.
People have to be what we want to do and think about what we do, not to affect third parties.

Trying to maintain a image might not always be the best thing for you. You cannot try to be life everybody else you should just be yourself and live your life to the fullest. Trying to fit in want male you happy it will just show how dumb you look trying to fit in with everybody else.be yourself nobody what anyone else tells you to do.

The quote "whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect" is very true and I see it every day at LHS. You rarely see people by themselves. Recently we had a hero's meeting and the man said that it's easier to be a follower but harder to be a leader. Why sit around and Follow others when you can make decisions for yourself?

Jacquetta Cannon
2/15/2014 02:43:14 am

This quote is true. It is saying that when you find yourself being a shadow other than being the leader, it's time to change and step up. So when you find yourself being a follower, then take some time and sit back and think about why you aren't somebody's leader.

Alaysha Wilford
2/15/2014 07:48:40 pm

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect", meaning that be yourself don't pick a side just because other people do . It happen all the time everywhere . People have a hard time maintaining their own image rather than trying to fit in with the crowd. Stop being a follower and become a leader that set trends for others to look up to. Learn to make choices on your own using your own mind.

Danisha Smith
2/16/2014 08:35:28 pm

I agree with the quote because doing the same as the majority opposed to doing for ourselves personally, is all too common. The quote says that when you see this, it is time to take a step back and think about what got you there in the first place. Your own mental influence or someone else's? In today's world we've gotten so used to "majority rules" that we've eliminated our own morals and values. This quote is a warning so that we don't lose ourselves in society's tornado of mess. Stay true to who you are because ultimately, there's nobody like you and there's no one who can tell you how to be you.
