I am defending this quote by Anatole France. The quote basically says that change can be difficult, but most importantly beneficial. We as people have the habit of saying how much we want to change but insist on staying in the same predicaments. We would have to leave our old selves and how we used to do things behind in order to move forward and become better than the past.

What i could pull from this quote is that all changes, including the ones that take time, will leave you in a state of depression, because in order to make a change you will leave a part of yourself behind, so you can make way for that change to occur in your life. I agree with kavion simply because, I feel like it will maybe leave you depressed even though this change may be the best for you. It's hard to let go of something you may have or did for years or even months of your life.

I agree with you. There are some cases where people are simply afraid of change, but what they may fail to realize is that in order to move on to progress in the future, they have to change how they were in the past.

This quote to me is basically saying that we must go of "what was" in order to get to "what is". You can't hold on to what's in the past. Even if It's something you've couldn't wait to accomplish or get. Holding on to the past will keep you as is holding you back from a possibly better future.

But the thing is that although many people want to change they can't let go of who they were before they decided to change. Thus, preventing them from actually changing and bettering themselves.They do not realize that in order to change you have to resolve to leave behind the person you were in order to change.In this aspect many people can relate to this, myself included, because throughout life I have strove to change and better myself in order to achieve more in my life. But even though I say I that I would like to change I end up going back to my old habits, thoughts, feelings, and actions.Throughout the course of one's life you have to have the resolve to let go of the past, however hard it may be.You must walk forward into the world that is the future and tomorrow which holds a better day, a better person, and a better life.

I agree with this quote ,because all humans have to go through a struggle before reaching their destination and finding peace. You can't expect change if you're still living with the same mindset. Once you know better you'll do better,and everything will fall in place. Some people only learn things the hard way. Sometimes change is scary ,but life is all about growth and reconstruction.

I agree with anatole France, because in oder for you to move onor grow, you have to let go of those things that are not letting you. For example, is like carrying a 400 pound bag and expecting to walk 2 miles without stuggling. I agree with this quote because slot of people want to change but just can't let go of something that happened in the past. You can't let one thing hold you back for the rest of your life you have to move on. I understand that moving on may be hard to do sometimes but in order to make a change you have to think positive and at least try your best. I was once told the right thing to do is to forgive and forget I didn't understand what that meant in the past but now I do which is similar to this quote.

All changes, we as people we fear experience for first time because we are used to doing the same thing, and we are afraid to start a new change in our lives but we know that is a benefit for ourselves, we always say that we need a change in our lives but we often have this fear that gives to start something new or simply because our lifestyle always want to be equal.

As the saying goes, "if you keep doing the same thing over and over, you will get the same results." In order for change to happen you must move forward. Change can be good. Sometimes we have no control over change,sometimes we do. Don't waste time
dwelling on changes that you have made in the past, what's done is done and cannot be undone. Release and let go, move on and enjoy your life.

I defend half of this quote, and challenge the other. I agree that what we leave behind is a part of us, as in me and you, but when it says we must die to one life before we can enter another is not it to me. I say change is good, but you changing completely is not a logical thing to me. Bring you everywhere you go. You don't want each person you know to know you as a different someone than the other.

Change can be a great affect on someone. Even though is good we still seem to leave a piece of our selves behind in which we need to move on. I dont completely understand this saying but from what I think, I agree with the qoute because in order for us to successfully move foward and make change, we have to let part of us die leaving it in the past. At times we think we can stay the same and add on to our lives when this only makes things more complicated. The quote is also saying change that we may have always wanted isn't always going to be an easy road to take. As people we can only endure so much and we have not fully accepted the fact that sometimes we have to sacrifice certain things in order to gain something that could be better.
