I am concerned for my well being and my overall safety in this country with Donald Trump as the president. With him presenting himself as a racist and sexist, being a young BLACK woman is a danger in itself. Another concern is how my children will be effected in the generations to come with his blunt remarks that could easily cause a war. Wars have not only physically effects on citizens but it could send the country into another economic depression. To be proactive, flying under the radar is my best bet at this point. Finishing my schooling and being successful to my best ability is my ultimate goal and someone depriving me from it isn't an option.

I feel as though we could remain the same and our country will be safe. We will all come together as people and overcome all of the obstacles.. we also would come into our own as people and recognize many promblems

I agree I'm concerned overall with my well-being protection of my family. Now that trump is president he's repelling Obama care and trying to build a wall for illegal immigrants. Trump is just making 25 new million jobs for what ? Everybody just need to prepare for the worst and just pray because racism is becoming the #1 major problem again

I agree with D.Mosley I am concerned for myself and the economy. Donald Trump has threatened to kick out hispanics and has made many racial slurs along with the disrespect of women. However I have predicted that Donald Trump has only supported racism to manipulate the true racist in our country. If this is true I feel less concerned with him being president and will continue to keep up my grades so that I can end up having leverage to escape America if Trump is as bad as he seems to be

My concerns for a country that is an illiterate persons hand is when will the next war be? What laws are going to be passed because of a government that still cant seem to be true to their people? How many more of my brothers and sisters have to fall to the hands of a police officer? What do i have to do to change the country around when its my time to care for it. My proactive plan is to get my education and do what is expected of me when it is time to vote. FAILURE is not an option anymore and i wont accept it for this country either.

I have to agree with you Ms. Criss. Knowing the morals and values this man has shown prior to his election, we, as the American people can only assume that horrid things will occur under his leadership. Knowing that such a man was elected is stressful to me as well. There are too many people that seem to be uneducated about ethics, morals, and values.

I am concerned about my safety and the safety of other minorities while Donald Trump is the president of the United States of America.I am concerned not only of the possible wars, but of the possible rise in hate crimes. I plan to be proactive by learning how to handle situations that may turn sour along with voicing my opinion. This is America, a country that accepts freedom of speech and is SUPPOSED to accept all cultures. Knowing such knowledge, I will fight against the possible prejudice by voicing my opinion. My voice may be small compared to the new authority Trump has, but I will refuse to sit in silence. I will be proactive by neglecting a man to influence my ways of thinking. I will fight to be able to maintain all of the freedoms minorities have worked hard to gain until this day.

Ms.Dawson you have stated what a lot of people have been saying but few do not acknowledge and that is the rights we have as Americans and the rights we have as humans. Standing up for what you believe is the best way to be proactive now more than ever. Why? because you would be creating a bigger impact in the community as other witness you and become influenced by your persona and actions.

It is good that you will not remain silent because your new president is all about your amendments. However, he recently threatened to take away the freedom of press because of the PEACEFUL protesting and the bad press that has been going around in only 3 days since the elections.

How can we keep our self safe .You never know people hiding can this be our last time at least having a kinda good country . dont get me wrong the country isnt safe at all or peaceful but does it get worse

Is it worth prophesizing on the possible damnation of our world? Why not believe that our future will be illuminated by the success and unity of every human being? Then again, if man subconsciously desires destruction, a challenge to save ourselves rises. This is not only a possibility in those who segregate or discriminate for whatever reason they have shoved together, it could also be present in the oppressed minds of our society. We must stop sulking about our bad luck, and keep walking into a world unknown during this time.

I am concerned with how much our country will change. How many people are in fear because of our new president. To be honest, neither one of them deserve to be our president but our country is so naive and blind to see what they have voted for to lead our country. Around the next election, I hope this country will open it's eyes and not pick a man who is a racist, sexist, and plain cruel to run our country for another term. We should have a president who actually knows about politics and wants to actually help this country. Not someone who is here to show he can actually win and for publicity to prove it.

I agree with B.Criss. It's hard to believe that under the circumstances people in the U.S would choose a person with no experience in public office and no foreign experience rather than voting to put a woman in office with thirty plus years experience in public offices. Hopefully Dondald Trump is smarter than he has demonstrated and he will be able to expedite his learning curve required to run this country.

December 21, 2012: it is the cataclysm most related to November 8, 2016. On the eve of a new era, I felt my feet pace themselves to the
American timer. Now that the bells have rung and the sunlight has beat the night sky, I've returned to normality. I am optimistic. Mr. Trump will be our savior, an entity not present during the end of the Mayan calendar. I smell wars, but I cannot smell the green leaves which gave a breath of life to the candidates of these elections. I am not frightened. I hold on to my democracy and accept that I must respect the fate of my nation. Nothing in me has changed. My worth as a human has motivated since the start of consciousness, and today is not the end of my ventures.

Everyone is concerned about the new president that we have. He is really going to make a huge impact on the world and i don't think it's going to be a good impact. So far i am not concerned because donald trump is not in the white house yet. I believe donald trump will not be successful building a wall on the southern border but if he is successful im pretty sure most illegal hispanics will be worried. Also Trump is a liar i like to call him the devil in disguise 👹. He is a man that causes problems and I believe he cannot improve the economy. Although he is a great business man that doesn't mean he can bring America out of doubt. America is in a negative position and it will only get worse because Trump is our leader but everyone just has to pray and hope for the best of things.

I have several concerns about Donald Trumps presidency. My first concern is that Trump doesn't have a temper tantrum and cause world war three between the U.S and another foreign country. My second concern is that Trump doesn't strip the medical insurance program that Obama implemented and leave the poor without insurance. Thirdly my hope is that the people of the U.S will come together in peace and support the efforts for a greater country without the protest that Trump initiated during his campaign. Finally my hope is that the economy will be strengthened as Trump advocated that it will be with jobs that pays better than they do now.

I agree with matiya. Will trump consider the people without money or is he only making descions for the people with money? Will trump crack under pressure and send our soldiers to war every chance he gets? As matiya stated, I too hope the people will come together as American citizens with peace and support. Let's try to make the best out of what we have.

Donald Trump can be harsh and obnoxious which is detrimental to our society and America's role in foreign policy. What if his rhetoric angers a liaison for another country, and they decide to start a war with America? What if countries decided to break ties with the U.S. economically? What would happen to the economy? I am most concerned with what will happen to federal aid for college students since I will be graduating soon. I deserve an education, security, and an actual politician as my president. Fortunately by the time the next election rolls around, I will legally be of age to vote. Until then there is not much I can do to secure my future because it is always changing. Life is unpredictable and sometimes you just have to roll with the flow.

Now that Donald Trump has been elected as the next president of the United States my biggest concern is that the community will become more disintegrated then ever before. The morning after the presidential election I woke up with fear and discomfort because I was a minority. It was not the fact that a new president had been elected, it was the fact that I felt that from now on people would discriminate and disrespect people and think it would be ok. The comments Donald Trump made during his candidacy is how people categorize or distinguish minorities now. In my opinion when Donald Trump became president the values and beliefs the United States stood for disappeared. A new president has been elected and life must go on. I believe that now more than ever it is important to stand up for what you believe without being intimidated by anyone who differs from your beliefs. Additionally, it is also important to know that as an American you have right and a human you also have rights that no one can take away from you. Standing up for what you believe in is how I intend to be proactive as I anxiously wait for the presidential elections of 2020.

Now that Donald Trump is the elected president of the united states, my biggest concern is the safety of our communities. The reactions since the president was announced show just chaotic things can get. What I intend to do for the remaining time we have until 2020 is learn how to carefully manage situations that are presented along the way. For example, when am faced with people of different beliefs I will know how to voice my opinion the properly at the same time offending the least amount of people possible. That is just how The united states is going to be nowadays, others challenging opinions even when they aren’t the ones being addressed.

SMendez 4th

You have a great strategy in mind. Learning how to properly speak to people will be a key skill for the time period we are in living in. These days people will be extremely sensitive and will look for offense in any small comment, then there are those who attack and try to feel superior. When speaking to these types of people, you will have to know how to properly react in order to avoid a chaotic situation.

My concern as Donald trump being president is the rascim. I feel that since we have a rascist president white America will feel it's okay to be openly racist.I'm Also concerned about our soldiers; will trump consider them when making decisions? My main concerns revolve around this mans erratic behavior. He is a man full of ignorance and hate, which he voices through snarky, vulgar comments. This rises my concern for the uprise of hate crimes in America. His racist comments have influenced many people to act out in pejudist ways. The society we live in is already broken and having Trump as president will only make it worse, instead of unifying America we will be having wars within our own country. American vs American. I will be proactive by learning how to deal with certain situations I am put in. I will learn how to deal with the prejudist attitudes people will offer. I will refuse to lower myself to their level and retaliate with hate. I will be proactive by remaining who I am and not letting a hateful president influence my way of thinking. I will work to make peace with the society we live in.

I totally agree with your ways to be proactive and your concerns. It is more concerning to us because we are going to college students during his term and that is the time we learn to be on our own. We cannot depend on our parents to make decisions for us, because we have to grow up and to know trump will be our leader during this time is terrifying. Now that Donald trump has been elected to be the next president of the United States my biggest concern is how out people might not be United no more. Other concern that I have as a person Is that racism might come back stronger and make people feel out of place just because of skin color. We all are human beings and no matter what color we are, we should stay together. How I am planning to be proactive until 2020 will be done with my basic education done, therefore everything that comes after that will be a privilege to have. I will become a better person who can be able to contradict what's wrong and have a better understanding of life, every time life changes and what our country decided to do is not the best but having an opinion sometimes can help to survive what's next.

Donald Trump has said to be racist, sexist, and a homophobe. He intends to do many things regarding race including the removal of latinos/hispanics. My concerns are that he will in fact fulfill his desires to remove the race all together, or he would find a way to make it happen. I also fear that the country would become even more separated or divided between groups, because people would fear for their lives. The fear will make people want to be something they are not. The winning candidate was announced three days ago. In that short period of time Trump supporters have had the audacity to start talking negatively about minorities. From now until the election of 2020 I plan to represent my race, as I will not let a negative comment bring me down because I am also a minority. I will also encourage those who are afraid to hold on tight because these next four years will fly by, and in no time we will have a new president running the United States.

Donald Trump is considered a joke. He is racist and disrespectful to just about every minority. I am not sure how he got into office with his vulgar and unprofessional statements. America is called a nation ,a place of power that comes together he is doing nothing more than dividing us apart and attempting to take away our programs put in place to help other less fortunate. He is a menace to our nation.
