To a young person money makes the world go round because everything cost money. Everything from a piece of paper to a car has a price tag. Young people are identify by what they have, wear, and show off. For example; clothes, shoes, name branded bags and etc those things cost money. To an old person money doesn't identify them because they've been through current problems which were caused by money that they wish wouldn't had happen. Older people value life more than money. For myself money doesn't identify me because I've seen what money can do to a person. Don't get me wrong I love money but not to an extent where I'll let it control me.

Teens now identify each other how society looks at us. Not really noticing the person behind the money. Older people have seen the struggle so they understand true identity

I strongly agree when you mentioned how society only sees the money but not the person behind it . The economic groups such as poor, middle class, and rich have began to play a huge part in the way society looks at the world.

To an average person in this generation , they feel as if money makes them. Without money they are nothing. I never had alot growing because we were trying to break even, but it never shaded who I was as a person. I think it was more of an advantage honestly. I appreciate more and can make do with what I have. To society they might just see me as another kid in poverty, but how I identify myself matters more to me. My economic disadvantages makes people look at me as a person instead what I have.

This is so on point, that is what makes our generation so bad, they think money will make them. In comparison, I had a lot of family financial issues that could have made me mean to others. Turns out, it was an advantage, because it taught me to be appreciative of the little things we had. That is an arbitrary judgement, to think someone is in poverty because they don't have what you have or how they act. For example, if Jordan's, the shoe brand company, where to come out today and everybody brought them, except for me, the kids of our generation would say, "Ha,Ha you are poor". Even though, I could be saving for my college fund, because that is what my economic disadvantage teachs me to do. In conclusion, my economic disadvantage, has made people think of me as an intelligent person who knows how to save for the future.

People these days look at money as away to define who they are even though what they call them selves isn't always true. From a outsider looking in ,a person with money in their pocket may seem to be rich but in reality they may be poor with money that they borrowed. Not having any money doesn't define a person as a poor citizen . It is only a struggling stage . You are only poor if you have no plan to change your economic status .

Money does change people alot whether or not you notice it it's all about how much you have and who be wanting it. Once people do get money that's what n reality kick in and the real themvcomes out

My economic disadvantage has very little to do with my identity. With all honesty,I have faith in God ,that keeps me from being sad over economic disadvantages. Even though, I might not have cool shoes, or clothes, I am not going to let those things make me who I am. A lot of kids today, that know they are not doing good financial, like to buy those type of material things, to look like they have everything. In conclusion, not having money does not change me as a person. Ithas not changed me in the classroom, my self esteem, or in a sport that I am in, because I know that God will make a way.

Privilege is the “special right, advantage, or granted or available only to one person or group of people”. It is constructed and normalized by the established frameworks of society that have been developed based on the power struggles of history. This means that people are classified by those who encounter them, and since these viewers are so influenced by the usual , the classification may be an blind act. In other words, even once you are aware of privilege, it is extremely difficult to eliminate it. Of course, many people are not aware of why they treat certain people certain ways, or may choose to ignore the realities of privilege.

In the society that we've been raised in this time period your economic status is very important and beneficial to building your rank and, social status which is one of the biggest things to build a person's identity yet if a person finds a certain confidence in themselves then that's when they can exclude the tags that society will put on you but I'm not at a disadvantage when it comes to an economic stance my parents love the finer things in life but from being raised and influenced by older wiser people whom have nice things and live beautifully comfortably just have adjusted themselves to get things that they need and spend bare minimum on what they want has truly grown myou mental state which is really a powerful and that's one thing that truly helps me say I'm not at a disadvantage yet in this society it's not what you need it's what the coolest person has and one might ask whathe makes someone cool well, being cool could just mean that your a social light and have a lot of friends by dressing as close to the poorest/newest rapper , talking like the most uneducated fool there is , being the closes one of the closest to catching an sad by messing around with a lot of girls and or boys ,but money makes the world go round just sometimes people have to throw up to see that spinning round and round is foolish and thats when they find their own identity and that's when the public eye may try but never permanent tarnish your name and that's when you see that every human is equal because at the end of the day everyone is different in some type of way and thatsee when you can say theres no extent because you believe in no such thing as to economic advantage and disadvantage...so when the question is ask to what extent does my economic disadvantage have on my identity none because as long as I trust God believe in his word stay true to my morals their is nothing that can tarnish, alter ,deteriorate my identity because I really believe in me even when others see nothing I see a whole beautiful aray of me .

    Mixed Ink

Mixed Ink is our class blog, the window into our souls. It was designed to improve students' writing, critical thinking and communication skills by giving them a platform to provide meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they see.

Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought. This is a place where students of all levels can freely, confidently and creatively express themselves and their opinions in a nonjudgmental platform. They are required to respond to and critique each other, but degradation, slander, lewdness, etc., will not be tolerated.
