In the image we can see a growing family taking a nap together, which would represent the union a family has between its members. The author tried to portray how family members related to each other using imagery, such as the bed and the different positions each one is sleeping on.
RLS: what makes a individual's personality different from the one of his blood relatives?
KQ: To what extent does the environment shape the way an individual thinks?
Aok's: Human Sciences, Art Wok's: Language, Sense perception

What kind of strength is provided by a family structure? Is there strength in similarity? Or do differences provided a variation edge? Does society evolve comparatively to biology?

I agree with you entirely on the subject matter at hand. The position as you printed out are crucial in hinting at there respective personalities.I am quite intrigued with your knowledge question as it closely relate to that of mine as well as your AOK AND WOK.

The picture depicts a family steadily developing. Interestingly, the position of the children in the picture seem the represent the inheritance of personality (i.e certain children acting uncannily like their mother or father).
The artist seems to portray no matter where we go as humans, there lies origins for us.

Real-Life Situation: What behaviors lay dormant in all people?
KQ: Under what circumstances does human survival influence instilled behavior?
AOK'S: Human Science, Indigenous Science?
WOK'S: Intuition, Reason, Sense Perception

I agree with this statement due to how it addresses the children personality development. I also think that the knowledge question is a solid question with a boundless answer.

I agree with your analysis. The family does appear to be growing especially since the mother is pregnant. I almost didn't notice that the children were laying similarly to their parents except in different angles. This analysis was very in depth and brought many details of the image to my eye after reading. The RLS was very insightful and the KQ wasn't too specific and doesn't point to a specific answer.

The image shows the union and development of bonds between people that may or may not know each other at first. These bonds develop over time and as a result, a friendship begins to bloom. Mainly, I think the author was trying to show how unity in family can cause everlasting development.

RLS: How does unity and family interfere with individuality?
KQ:To what extent does one begin to leave their individuality in order to pursue a better, more established Union?

AOK:Human Science, Art
WOK:Sense Perception

I understand what you are saying, but i disagree with your choice of words. The image depicts the union and development in bonds, however the picture shows a family and i don't think friendship is the correct way to refer to that bond.

This image illustrates a family's comfort and union. As they sleep they stay together clustered, and not one moves away. they are all connected (touching) and no one is left out. This may symbolize a 'functional' family where no one is outcast or set apart. Although feet are in faces and legs are on backs, they seem perfectly comfortable and peaceful.
RLS: What does it mean to be a 'functioning family'?
KQ: To what extent does language influence reason and memory?
AOK:Human Sciences, Language WOK: Reason, Memory

Within this picture you one can see faint hints of each persons unique personality. The two boy on the sides seem to be parting from the center mass of the family. Even in this though you can see how yet still are they intertwined together as a whole. Struggling within the world as it is they lay all together on a single bed. This though holds the beauty of this piece as they do not struggle alone but together. Sharing the weight of the world to ease each othjers pain.
RLS- What does it mean to be part of a whole
KQ- To what extent does unity influence individuality
AOk-Hunman sciences Indigenous WOK- Reason Sense perception

The image seems to encompass ethics along with emotion as it shows ties with family and how large families can keep growing but we all came from a similar place. The art portion of this picture lets the person connect to a persons point of view and experiences by appealing to family and the ties we sever and create over time. In conclusion i believe the image serves as a reminder to people about how we came from the same place as a family and how our emotions and ethics are closely tied to our family and upbringing.

Theory of Knowledge is an elemental part of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP), in that it provides an opportunity for students to reflect on the nature of knowledge and how we know what we claim to know. You know?

Weekly, students will be given an image and/or prompt and expected to analyze a real-life situation then write meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they know they see.

I hope you enjoy peeking into the windows of their souls!
