Prompt: Identify and define some of the central tenets of transcendentalism. Develop your essay in a 3x2 in your composition notebook.
Read: He who opens a school door, opens a prison.
Think: Education creates socially and culturally responsible citizens.
Write: an essay explaining the purpose and value of education.
The substitute will pass out the orange packets for you to use while you are writing to help with hooks, thesis statements, 3x2, transition words, etc. They are yours to keep. Keep up with them!! YOU GOT THIS!
You must write bell to bell, so you shouldn't get finished before then. If you do, proofread your essay, making sure that you have at least four solid, complete sentences in each paragraph, that your thoughts are developed and your paper is formatted. Check your hook, commentary and thesis. In the event that you do finish ALL that, read and annotate, “The Other Wes Moore.”
