Novel Writing
National Novel Writing Month happens every year, the entire month of November! To support the goal of the organization, and our own writing goals, participants will begin writing a 50,000-word memoir on November 1st and end on November 30th at 11:59.
In between, we will host write-ins for participants to meet with traditionally and self-published authors, journalists, bloggers, publishers and photographers to write, discuss, critique and learn about the writing and publishing process as they write their memoirs! Non-stop creativity. Non-stop support. Non-stop writing.
Visit NaNoWriMo for more information about the project and join us in November!

Pencil Break
Each year, November 15th marks National I Love to Write Day. Founded in 2002 by nonfiction and self-help writer, John Riddle, the day is reserved for adult and student writers of all levels to spark their writing goals.
For our part, every November 15th, we host our Pencil Break writing workout. Like a treasure hunt, participants sneak writing moments throughout the day, and dominate the evenings with writing exercises that we randomly post online using the Remind App. By the end of the night, at 11:59, participants should have written a puzzled-together piece, in their genre, that highlights their literary prowess. Each story will be published collectively, in our annual anthology.
Visit I Love to Write Day! for more information about the national celebration.
