INSTRUCTIONS

1. INCLUDE: Last Name, First Initial, AND Class Block. You do not have to include an email address or a website.

2. Respond to the post. Read the entire post, including watching any videos or reading any articles attached. Do not post vague or ambiguous commentary. Your post should have depth, be thoughtful, and provide specific, meaningful insight. Make sure it addresses the topic and encourages reflection, discussion, or a connection.

3. You MUST comment on at least TWO other posts from any student in any class. Your replies cannot be identical comments on different posts and posting shallow comments such as "I agree" or "I disagree" will earn you a zero. Make sure your reply addresses the comment that you are responding to.

Yes I get but sometimes people have to understand not everybody will be able to have those great chances of doing what they really want. Because they cannot choose that sometimes people have horrible living situations or don't know how to take the first step. It's not easy to just go back and not change little things like going to the right place or talking to the right people. Sometimes you don't have the money or the connections to live your dreams.

I somewhat agree with you, for the reason that with the resources we have today you would think that it'll be easy to get a job. Actually they're rarely accepting applications, so I see where that could be complicated. However, with enough hard work, you can do anything you want to, if you really want it.

Yes, they might be hard to find resources to get work opportunity but there are no reason why you couldn't try hard enough to find something you can work on even if it is by helping others to make a change in your life to get things started .

That's understandable but regardless there's always some way to start your dream life even if its little by little. Many people who have had a terrible start find ways to make their dreams come true. Even if someone who's in a situation like that there's no same in asking questions on how to start it.

I understand but someone inspired me that i can do what i want no matter where i grew up in and how life has treated me or my choices. That person was the first to graduate HS and College. Got their degree in Psychology even though his siblings were in jail.

I understand the quote. It made me think about when people express in a disappointed way that they really wanted or should've had a certain career or IQ, thinking it's too late. However the message behind it can always mean something deeper like breaking the cycle in your family. No matter how long it takes, if you complete a goal that you made for yourself, you succeeded.

You can always change up what you want to do with your life. If you're unhappy with the way your life has gone you can always take the steps to be what you wanted to be. People have the idea that once you pick a path for your life you have to stick to it no matter what but that's simply not true. It's never to late to do what you truly want to do.

I agree with the sentiment that we are basically the authors of our own story and like the post says we can "rewrite" and "revise" our "story" to fit the narrative we want said story to have, because life really is what you make of it and what you can take away from the good and the painful experiences. You can either use these experiences to shape you into a stronger individual and the person you want to become, or let it rip you apart and destroy you. Even though this is all true, I personally find that it's not always that simple. Some experiences just mess people up so much that picking up that hypothetical pencil/pen is difficult and the "story" just keeps going "unedited".

Yes i do get it, i feel like a lot of people don’t try again for their dream because they feel like the first time you messed it up. When it is not at all true. If i am passionate about something i need to keep trying and getting up again and again until i know i tried everything in my power to make it.

Mixed Ink is our class blog, the window into our souls. It was designed to improve students' writing, critical thinking and communication skills by giving them a platform to provide meaningful content based on their interpretation of what they see.

Although the students receive a grade based on a rubric for completing this assignment, they are not graded on complexity of thought.
