The Studio 1034 Black Literary Art Online Library is a special library that houses one of the most prolific African American fiction, history, and poetry collections in the south. Pan African Connection. A multipurpose boutique serving the African Diaspora with books, videos, music, African clothes, fabrics, African furniture & jewelry, body oils, incense, soap, health products, African news publications and an African art gallery. Pan African Bookstore has the widest selection of African art, fashion and cultural artifacts in North Texas.
Marcus Bookstore was the country's oldest black bookstore. Situated in the Fillmore district of San Francisco, on May 11. 2014, after more than nearly four decades, the bookstore was forced to close its doors, permanently. For almost 40 years, Marcus Books served as a cultural Mecca for black writers, authors and bibliophiles. The bookstore hosted scores of writers and speakers' including James Baldwin, Dave Chappelle, Malcolm X, Alice Walker, Willie Brown, Jackie Robinson, Angela Davis, Barry White, Wesley Snipes and dozens of others.
